You know if you get rid of Singer & co you'll end up with a huge spider in the third act, or something equally as crap...
Yea, because the only other alternative to a Singer Superman film is a Superman film with a huge spider in the third act. There is no other director out there that could possibly do justice to Superman and make a movie that is universally praised among the hardcore fans and the general audience. All hail Singer!

Singer didnt change the character though, a lot anyway, he just put him in a situation were his superpowers couldnt help him.
Those situations existed because Singer compromised the character of Superman! Superman sleeping with Lois and not telling her he is Clark Kent as well as Superman taking off without saying a word to the person he supposedly loves the most in the world. That doesn't sound like Superman to me, and Singer didn't care either that he was compromising the character, he just wanted to create soap opera drama.
