Partial summary so far:
-Anna and Jimmy were filming when X3's third act was being filmed
-Why didn't Rogue have some action scenes?: Anna was filming another movie, and in X2, she only stopped Pyro and flew the plane - Kinberg
-Penn wasn't given a screen writing credit: -he came up with the storyline of X2 mostly (Hayter and Singer wanted to do the Dark Phoenix Saga, but when they read the script, they decided to use his story. Sentinels were cut.)
-Penn wanted Nightcrawler in X2, Singer and Hayter wanted Beast
-Penn says Singer is tempramently similar to Penn and Kinbergy, more than Ratner

Can anyone else continue?

Does anyone really give a crap that it was posted somewhere else? My God!

Yes, please someone continue. Thanks!

Yes, I give a crap, on the grounds that just a few pages below there is already a thread with discussion on the comments made. Where's the point in starting a new thread?

For those who want to join in the discussion already going, rather than starting from scratch, the link to the thread can be found below:

Yes, please continue....we need a few more threads to know how much you miss Cyclops and hate Fox.

For god's sake...SEE ANOTHER MOVIE ALREADY!!!!

That sound a little weird. How come the scipt for x-2 was so good and the script for x-3 isn't on par? But that could explain the bitterness.

Wait...aren't you the one planning to let the actors know exactly what you thought of this movie??

I love the writers. "We didn't like this part of the movie." Answer: "Fox made us do it." "Why didn't this happen in the movie?" Answer: "Fox wouldn't let us do it."

Were they responsible for anything in this film??

I'm pretty much just open to blaming anyone at this stage... I'll blame you if you want???? Would you like that?

Makes about as much sense as anyone else you're willing to blame.

Why do you even open these threads? Just join the Storm thread and gush about how great she was. Or how heroic Wolverine was. I'm just trying to summarize what was said in the podcast, just to see what type of movie would have been made had Fox/Brett Ratner not gotten involved.

You're not a fan of the X-Men (comics etc.) so go watch the film again, or go join a general thread that discusses the movie and talk about how great the film is (IMDB, etc.)

Thank you. :)

Damn you Danoyse, its all your fault this movie turned out as it did.

Thank you. :)

For the same reason you all have to jump into the box office threads and yell about how apparently everyone doesn't like it because other movies are actually making money. For the same reason every form of constructive criticism has to be about why Fox hates you almost as much as they hate Cyclops.

For the record, I am a fan (and what gives you the right to say I'm not??)...and I am curious about what the writers have to say, which is why I open the threads to read. But every single discussion delves into the same people complaining about the same things.

Just look at the boards the last few days...they're either mad, crying, or ready to yell at the actors. Please. If they can't handle taking some heat in return, maybe they shouldn't be creating the threads in the first place.

It's me...I know...but they did cut the musical number I was planning. :p

Lol... yeah... but what do people expect with so many really angry people? Polite discussion went out the window on May 26. Along with the rest of the world...

Polite discussion? Did anyone else forget what happened when the AICN story came out? Or when they announced that Brett Ratner was directing? The petitions, protests, and boycotts that were planned?

I do enjoy the polite discussions, when they happen. :)

I would say they were completely uncalled for....if every counter argument wasn't a complete lie. Of course the fans are going to be angry, not everyone was happy with Batman & Robin, Superman 4 etc.

Although, I'm sure as a non-fan, you may have thought they were brilliant. So enjoy those films. But unfortunately, for the rest of us, we have to work a little harder to get a movie like Batman Begins made.

Where are you getting this "non-fan" business? Because I mentioned that I hadn't read the comic books before I saw X1? Because I mentioned that I had never seen the cartoon until recently, and thought it was a little cheesy?

That doesn't make me a non-fan. I saw the first movie, and liked it enough to start catching up to some comic books and follow out the rest of the series through--which I had every right to enjoy.

I actually feel bad for some of the die-hard comics/cartoon fans that were disappointed by X3. I waited 16 years for 3 mediocre 'Star Wars' prequels. My favorite Stephen King novel has been made into a bad movie twice. Believe me, I can relate.

Was there supposed to be a quiz at the entrance of the movie theater to test the audience's comics knowledge...so they can be as mad about as you still are nearly a month later? Of course not. It's perfectly acceptable to not have a Dark Phoenix degree and still enjoy the movie.

And I enjoy reading the articles and interviews about the movie--and I think the studio politics into the entire trilogy have been fascinating (and disturbing). I'll read them as long as I choose to.
