I kinda refuse to believe Wolverine isn't in this. I think he is, and Singer and Co. are doing a great job keeping it underwraps.

with stryker confirmed and what was said about ajax in deadpool being part of
same program as wolverine and Deadpool i have suspecion wolverine may have cameo of stryker bringing him Into weapon x program.

On Days of future past commantary bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg talked about while past films have been erased the characters are still moving towards becoming characters they were.which is why most likely Singer has called Apocalypse a bit of conclusion of 6 X-Men films.

regardless wolverine will only be in 1 scene if he is in film.

And if they are really hiding Hugh Jackman (like if he has a big supporting role), I don't think thats good for the marketing.

Compared to DOFP,

Advantages:

-Disaster movies do better in overseas markets

-Is a sequel to an extremely well received movie

Disadvantages:

-Releasing on same day as Alice 2 in USA

-Superhero saturation - BvS and Civil War are releasing before it so fatigue may set in. DOFP had to compete with lesser movies like Winter Soldier and ASM 2

-No reunion factor

-No Hugh Jackman


So Fox should be happy if Apocalypse makes the same amount as DOFP. As a X-Men fan, I would be happy if Apocalypse makes 750 million and receives critical acclaim as Days of Future Past

Another probable disadvantage is no Fan Bingbing. DOFP really broke it out in China before Age of Extinction took it to a whole new level that was continued with Furious 7 and Jurassic World.

The disaster factor will appeal to them but I don't know how much difference Fan Bingbing made in DOFP success

i am pretty sure bryan singer is aware he has to step up everything in order to make this a bigger and better movie as usually the goal for a sequel is to make it better then the last

Once effects work has been done and the trailer is released i am pretty sure we will see some really cool destruction visuals

I would like to see more Blink. And more Bishop too.

Also, Halle keeps saying Storm doesn't get any love, and i think it would be good to see her older version of Storm in a relationship with Bishop, or Forge, or someone!

Thing about bishop is he seems to be more a dark future character, someone who carries around a big ass gun so i would be surprised if we ever see bishop again

Actually Omar Sy was a factor to the huge success of DOFP in France... I don't want to keep going over this again... but the future cast definitely can definitely carry one more film! Like a film with Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Rogue, Iceman, Bishop, Blink, Kitty, Colossus, Beast, Professor X... And it kinda sucks that Fox has other priorities right now. With the all excitement seeing those characters in the new future (except for Blink/Bishop) and all the actors willing to comeback. They are instead focusing on spin-offs (again) and Hugh is retiring the Wolverine role in 2017. Why couldn't fox just make Wolverine 3 a X-Men film with all the original trilogy cast members. I also think Olivia's Psylocke and Channing's Gambit would fit in right away with that cast since they seemed to be in the same age group especially compare to the teenagers of Apocalypse.

Because they wanted to use Old Man Logan storyline, nothing we can do about that right now it seems they are moving forward with the new cast and they can very well do so without the OT I'm sure it will still do very well possibly surpassing DOFP ,though I am sad Fan isn't in this one she was my fav new character I really wish that Blink could be apart of this.

Agreed! Maybe it's the crossover film they have pencilled in already.

i think realistically we would only have gotten 1 teleporting mutant in any X-Men movie since you don't need 2 of them to complete 1 purpose so i suppose if everyone had a choice between nightcrawler or blink who would they have picked?

Personally i think the majority would have picked nightcrawler because of the X2 opening sequence

Inless Hugh Jackman were to change his mind a X-Men/F4 crossover would likely Involve FF going to X_Men world but In going from their present to post Apocalypse in late 1980's/early 90's.

Agreed! Maybe it's the crossover film they have pencilled in already.

I'm kinda hoping Gambit/Channing Tatum would replace Hugh/Wolverine in the present period X-Men... also there is Rogue... so maybe she'd get to shine again and no more Jean/Logan/Scott love triangle and James Marsden could finally get a great amount of screentime.

Anyway, I'm really hoping the cross-over with the Fantastic Four happens, ideally it should be with the present-day X-Men with James Marsden/Hugh/Famke/Anna/Halle/Patrick and the gang. But if its with the 80s X-Men, so be it... and its just nice that not only we got to see the F4 cast with the X-Men cast in Comic-Con and then in a photoshoot for Entertainment Weekly. But Bryan Singer is also actually talking about its possibility which makes me think that they are really considering doing the cross-over!
