Apocalypse X-Men: Apocalypse coming in 2016!

You beat me by 2 minutes.....

I do my best.

I am so pumped about this. I went into First Class with low expectations and was VERY happy with the final product, so I am really excited for DOFP now (I STILL haven't seen The Wolverine, but should be checking it out on bluray soon). I guess we just have to wait and see what happens in DOFP before really having an idea of what Apocalypse will even be about.

But yeah, who plays the big bad himself?

I gotta think we start with every Bald Actor currently working in Hollywood and then get rational from there.

I'm hoping this will be the one where Cyclops finally gets his moment to shine.

Pretty much confirms an Apocalypse after credit scene in DOFP and that he is the real villain in that movie. I guess they didn't want to use Age of... since Marvel is using that for Ultron. Although, a bit of a dick move to schedule it May 27 when Marvel/Disney already slated a film for May 6.

Anyway, wonder what this means for X-Force? I thought we'd be getting X-Force in 2016 and an Apocalypse movie in 2017.

I feel like Cyclips has to be making a comeback if Cable is going to lead the X-Force movie.

They should title it X-Men: Age of Apocalypse

Honestly who cares if Marvel is doing Age of Ultron? Transformers is doing Age of Extinction. Age of Apocalypse would be the perfect end of the "Age of" titles.

I feel like both teams are going to be in this. Between X-Men, X-Force and Deadpool, 2016 is the year where Fox really, truly goes all out with the license. As far as the horsemen go, I'd like to see it be a hybrid of different time periods

War: Frenzy (From the first Horsemen)
Famine: Gauntlet (From the Dark Riders)
Pestilence: Sugar Man (From the Age of Apocalypse)
Death: Starting with Nemesis, then Angel takes his place

Just my preferences. As for who can play Apocalypse, I'm not sure. Part of me wants Dwayne Johnson in the role but I'm not sure how well he can play a truly evil villain since he comes across as too nice. Terry Crews would also be a good choice but he might be a bit too hammy. Bruce Willis would probably underplay him.

Words can't describe how excited I am for this. Between this, Thanos, Superman/Batman crossover and more it's an insane time to be a comic fan, I never dreamed we'd be getting stuff like this. So awesome.

This is one of the best days ever! It almost seems to good to be true. Fortunately it is not. As a hardcore X-men fan this is the sort of stuff that dreams are made of. Apocalypse was made for the big screen and certainly deserves his own film. This is going to be epic.

I really hope it includes all the X-men and X-force. That would be the icing on the X-cake!

I never dreamed after the first four films that we'd see more than two big bads in the X-Men universe. I felt like Shaw in First Class was a fluke, then there was Silver Samurai, now presumably Master Mold or Nimrod will be in DOFP, now Apocalypse. As long as Fox doesn't go back to Magneto and Stryker AGAIN, I'll be very happy with this.

Nate grey! Nate grey! Nate grey! Nate grey! Nate grey! Nate grey! Nate grey! Nate grey! Nate grey!

Since I hate it when people say this and it especially doesn't make sense here, I'm going to do the obligatory:
Michael Fassbender would be perfect for Apocalypse.

I don't know. I feel like blockbuster gross is so front loaded now that the Marvel movie will make most of its money within those first three weeks. Maybe some people will do the Nerd Alert Double Feature and go see X-Men and also see the Marvel movie for a second time

So young Magneto = Joseph. Joseph = Apocalypse. Nearly 20 years of continuity now make sense to me!

This was exactly what I wanted: Solid plans for the future, and no stalling with another main feature.

I don't see why we shouldn't expect X-Force in 2015 tbh, it seems to be moving along smoothly.

Ian McShane with his 1,75m and no Egyptian look? please don't joke.

The Rock or Tony Todd for Apocalypse.
Todd has ideal voice for this role.

So what is the X-force roster? Cable, Domino, Cannonball, shatterstar, warpath? Old school?

I see your Fassbender and raise you an Idris Elba!

Great can't wait for it I always wanted to see Apocalypse in a movie.
