In the movies you mentioned above not many got developed other than Xavier,Magneto,Wolverine,Raven and ill say Rogue was given something in the first two movies. What about the other XMen thats just not right 3 of the ones I mentioned shoud've been replaced with core XMen. I dont hate Mystique, I dislike Raven there is a maor difference I preferred Mystique in the OT not what they are doing with Raven in the FC. I understand you like Magneto and if they want to explore that then they should do his own movie this is XMen then can choose some other stories to focus on that do not involve Magneto but were still great nonetheless.
I understand that some fans wanted to see that but people want to see the actual XMen more not only Fassbender or else his box office solo would match the XMovies. Its old and stale now and they really need to let it go. As I said no excuses.
Thats all that it needs to be if you want it explored they can do that in a solo film this is the XMen not Magento. It doesnt need to be explored how about we focus on the new XMen and establishing them. As I said 6 movies of that whether you want it fleshed out or not is more than enough the focus no longer should be there.
I dont care much about the Gifted tv show I likely wont check it out just as I didnt for Legion. I do agree the movies need to explore the family angle more how the world hates them but they have each others back and real family should.Absolutely! And this is why I'm quite irritated by the new series THE GIFTED focusing on this dull family dynamic of a traditional family when the X-Men are actually about outcasts coming together to build their own families. The X-Men idea of family is a queer one. I really hope this series will get this right and will stop ASAP with promoting this family non-sense in posters!!
No im glad Singer left, I personally wanted fresh blood and new ideas for the franchise. He did an amazing job with Xavier,Magneto,Wolverine but the focus was squarely on Wolverine. Singer did nothing with Storm character wise she was just there as a token and he completely screwed over Cyclops being outshined by Wolverine and not portraying his leadership qualities. So no I prefered someone new onboard to tackle the films. I will admit X2 and Dofp were both great films though.
+1. It looks cheap (those Polaris effects in the last trailer look astonishingly bad) and generic, why they didn't greenlight a project on the many other existing X-Titles and chose this instead is beyond me.
Ill give it a shot but honestly I have zero interest in this gifted show it just looks boring. Im not a fan of the Singerverse I dont like his vision. Polaris powers looked ok in the trailer but not so much and im not a fan of them putting streaks in peoples hair.

Agreed 100%. The movies need to get weirder and freakier and redefine beautiful and normal. The nuclear family couldn't be further from the spirit of the X-men comics. Yet this is a movie franchise that has featured a bisexual character (Mystique) 6 times without a hint to her queerness (or her greatest love, Destiny).
i really wish we could get Destiny in a movie to be able to introduce her diaries.

Idk yet if it will be a huge mess or not until I see a bit more but they seem to going the route of Logan by not revealing anything until it finished and ready to come out. The difference is though that Logan was critically well received so if DP is crap keeping everything a secret really isnt going to make it any better.This movie is gonna be a huge mess isn't it?

noone knows much about dark phoenix and too many people are already declaring it a bomb who needs haters with some of these so called fans
dawn of planet of the apes box office is total result of crowded field In july.pirates is result people don't want to see films with johnny depp.
dark phoenix moved out of crowded summer release date which some around here used to want.
people are ignoring fact foregin box office is fast becoming even mor einportant to studios.it's why they care so much on films playing in china.it's why no major studio will ever again do film with critices china or has chinese bad guy.

and have people here actully read the comics? in 1980's and 1990;s comcis had plenty of darkness and seriousness to them.the prejudice allegory wasn't created for films.in comics they even had allegary for aids with legacy virus.
when i hear about cable being funny in deadpool 2 i am like in comics cable and funny aren't usualy 2 words that go together.but i am sure some here

Dark phoenix is not a brand new franchise.it's part of exsisting franchise.it's sequel to fc,1973 parts of DOFP,and Apocalypse.people are ignoring they introduced more comic booky outfits in apocalypse.while they may not be exactly the same outfits as in apocalypse with new disgner and new director very doudtful they won't have colorful costumes.
