Pyro's hands and arms were surely amputated after what happened to them in X3.

So even if he is alive, he's useless.

What happened exactly? He's a ****ing mutant, who happens to control fire, and who also happens to be above class 3 (or whatever they said). I don't think he's that weak and pathetic to be defeated that easily.

Besides, he was shown to make a cigarette burst by just winking his eye in X2, and that was before he grew up to be a much more powerful mutant in X3, so I wouldn't say he's useless even if he doesn't have his arms.

I just don't get why everyone wants every last character who has every appeared in any X-Men film in this one.

One of the major aspects of the comic is that a large majority of the characters are.. well, dead. Considering how many characters where either dead or MIA at the end of X3.. it already works itself into the story.

Everyone has their favorites that they want to see.... Doesn't mean people want every single person. Id gladly take toad and nightcrawler over many characters already confirmed

Watching the Beyond:Two Souls panel with Ellen. Ellen just mentioned that the film she's shooting now, because its so big, only shoots about a page a day. Totally didn't mention what film it was.

No link yet since it was a live Q&A.

Yeah, one page in a script. It doesn't mean anything else. Because the film is so large, it would naturally have huge set pieces that require a lot of set up and a lot of waiting around so there's a lot less actual filming of the movie. She didn't say that exactly but that's what she implied in comparison to the 30-40 pages of shooting that she did as part of making the video game Beyond: Two Souls when she did that in motion capture.

I don't want him back. I think its safe to assume that he died in X3 since Jean vaporized a lot of people in Alcatraz.

1 of two thoughts came to my head about the casting of the old x-men... what we know Professor X is alive but no sign of Cyclops or Jean Grey. So this is following the same timeline as x-men 3 however somehow Xavier came back to life... considering his braindead brother calling out Moria at the end of x-men 3 and that explains his appearance OR - there from an alternate reality where its age of apocalypse and something that happens in x-men dofp will change there path to that of how the end of x-men 3 ended.

yes, but some other characters like Nightcrawler and Toad for instance don't have that luxury of closure

my favorite characters while growing up were beast,cyclops and iceman

so far this film will contain 2 of the 3, but sadly the 3rd of thoughs has been so underused

Agreed. I am still hopeful that after the timeline resets in the end of this film, we either see Cyclops or at least hear mention of him being still alive. As a teaser for the next movie...

Bryan really likes James Marsden that he took him to Superman with him and I think Marsden is an incredible actor who just needs the opportunity and writing to show it. He is one of the best actors in the franchise and needs to be used more in the future.

I don't think we will meet new X-Men members in the 70s. If Blink, Warpath and Bishop are members of the X-Men, I don't think we need to see more new faces in the 70s X-Men.

The only new mutants In film not yet announced will mostly be In background.Inless magneto has a couple of new henchman or the Michelle Trachtenberg rumor pans out
I don't expect any new mutants In 1973.Bishop,Blink,warpath and most likely Sunspot
are all In future scenes.Getting new mutants for 1973 hasn't been a big concern for them.
