X-Men Origins: Wolverine Official Thread

The bosses are the characters from the movie (Sabretooth, Blob, Weapon XI/Wade Wilson, Gambit, Agent Zero) & some comic ones (The only two I know are Mystique & a Sentinel).

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Guess who's got the game? Eb Called me this morning to tell me my pre-order came in... freakin sweeeet. This game rules so far... I'm a few levels into it... I can see some people saying they think it's repetetive, but for Wolvie fans, you won't care... Very Ninja Gaiden, or Conan (if you've played those games). I've already unlocked 2 costumes (well, I've found the figures but haven't fought myself yet). The healing is awesome... The only thing thats kinda annoying me so far, is that several levels in, and all i ever wear is a singlet... I want more clothes! Lol

Go fight yourself for the brown and tan. Rock Wolverine's best costume evarr instead of the wifebeater. :oldrazz:

NICE!!!!!

spill the beans man!!!! but please...no movie spoilers :yay:

Tag the game spoilers while you're at it. I actually don't want to know too much before I get my hands on my own copy.

I want to know about the overall quality of the game, the mechanics (fighting system, upgrade system, camera, etc.), glitches (major and minor), and how good the overall story is (as i know its a hybrid of comics and the movie).

I just beat the two wolverines.... it's almost more fun than the actual game, facing off against a wolverine lol. I got the brown and tan (which they call the legendary) and the classic. I know theres the x-force one, but theres also another locked costume available.... I have to know what it is!!!!!

To be honest, there's not much to tell about the game that hasn't already been said... The combat is really fluid, and fun. It's easy to string things together, although i'm yet to rip a guys arm of and beat him with it... I have ripped a guy in two from the groin though, which made me happy.

To be honest, so far the overall quality is pretty good... they've certainly paid alot of attention to details. It needs more unlockables and stuff though, in my opinion

Do you have to earn the extra combos/moves? Or have you access to them from the start and it just depends on your skill?

wolvieboy17, can you please take a picture of the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 insert and send it to me....PLEASE! thanks in advance :)

I don't know what you mean when you say a MUA:2 Insert. I haven't seen anything like that... With the upgrades, you have a set list of combos, and you earn other moves as you level up, or manually upgrade your claws

It should be on the side of your case, where the game booklet is...PLEASE look for it.

Sweet.

The MUA2 insert is a little card behind the instruction manual that some of the games apparently came with.

When you grab an enemy, what kinds of moves do you have to dispatch them?

There's no insert. I'm in Australia, so maybe it's a US only thing... When you grab an enemy, pressing x makes you beat them until they're dead, then you chuck em away, and pressing y lets you do a gnarly quick kill, which differs depending on the type of enemy and long you hold down y... pretty cool

Damn. Straight.

Wolvieboy17,

- Is the combat just mindless button mashing, or does it take some skill to execute some moves?

- do you have a different move set when your claws are sheathed?

Thanks for answering all these questinos by the way :)
