X-Men Origins: Wolverine Official Thread

This game looks amazing, but I couldn't help but notice that Logan is wearing a tattered piece of his X-uniform in the beginning cinematic.

Well, I've been reading some rumors that

That those scenes are actually set in the future

From what i understand, Wolverine is a pretty brutal guy tho, regardless of what hes wearing.

I know it fits his character. It just seems off when he does that with a costume on. It's really just what I've been exposed to with him in it, namely the 90's show.

Wow, that video review was badass.

Those cinematics look stunning. I don't think I'll buy it, but I definitely think I'll rent it for a couple weeks from Blockbuster.

A Wolverine game that doesnt suck? Its been a long time since we had one of those

Yeah, Wolverine was running like a coward but the Blob's skin is really difficult to penetrate.

Wolvie is bad-ass but I hope you can do more than just Lunge at this fight:

The lunge might be effective to defeat a giant monster, there might be other tactics besides the lunge but those tactics might be more challenging.

^^Yeah, there could be other tactics. Maybe the Lunge is probably the most effective move in the game (in terms of finishing an enemy).

Whity's review was great. I wonder if he would've scored the game higher if he got the Weapon X Arena 'coz I don't think he got this extra. The Weapon X Arena is a cool addition to the game imo. Spawning any enemy (I hope the bosses as well) to fight will be awesome!

Yea that Weapon X arena sounds like a genius idea. And I'm sure once you defeat the bosses in the main game you will be able to spawn them in the arena.

Weird that the movie is PG-13, but the game is rated M.

The game was planned way before the Movie. When the Movie was filmed, they made a deal to turn their original game into a Movie tie-in, but they weren't going to change the core of the game. It was always supposed to b a M rated, true to the character, Wolverine game.

The first Spider-Man game didn't have a great deal in common with the movie.

Looks lame like all non-Nintendo exclusive (Nintendo exlcusive is Mario, Zelda, Brawl, etc...) Wii games.

I'm in the minority on this, but I'm never impressed with a game b/c of its gore factor. I don't find it necessary.

Some goes for graphics which are often overrated. It doesn't need to be photorealistic to be good.

The Wii version's quality will be decided on its controls, not whether there is a fountain of blood spewing from someone's corpse.

Yea there is no reason to go for a game b/c of its gore, if its not necessary. For a character like Wolverine, and being true to the character, its necessary. As for visuals, i don't think they ever make or break a title, but they can go along way to keeping the player absorbed. In this day, with Plasma screen HD TV's, and consoles being optimized for them, visuals mean a lot, like it or not.

LMAO...that is amazing!

That settles it...Raven Software really missed the mark here. In light of this new evidence, the new Wolverine game is completely unrealistic and will be remembered as an embarassment to the gaming community for years to come.
