Journey into Mystery is the best thing being published by the entire comic industry right now.

Tell that to the nimrods that don't buy it.:cmad:

I agree, I that's right up there with DD. Gillen needs to get back Thor full time.

I respect that Fraction's trying to do new things with Thor. The All-Mother, Asgardia, the republic of all the Nine Realms' races--all good ideas. Problem is he doesn't know anything about the old things that have already happened with Thor, which leads to stuff like calling Frigga "Freyja," making Thor and the gang's youth even more confusing than it already was, getting several characters' personalities slightly (or colossally) wrong, adapting myths that have already been adapted differently in previous comics, etc.

Then, it sounds like he wasn't qualified for a Thor comic to begin with. Yet, Marvel gave him the book to boost sales.....shocking.:o

JiM, WatXM, UXF, Avengers Academy, and Secret Avengers are the four best books Marvel publishes.

Call me the great uniter. :o

I still got a lot of love for Academy. The cast has grown a little too large for me but it's still a solid book.

Secret Avengers is good so far, the one thing I want to see it (or specifically Remender) to do is improve on is the relationships between the characters. I'm hoping it becomes on par with UXF in that regard.

I think he's already doing some good character work within SA already. I mean, I had no great love for most of the SA lineup before Remender came on, and now I love nearly every one.

He also seems to be planting a lot of seeds for things to come in terms of character interaction and development.

You're so good at uniting that you turned five books into four, eh? :p

Nope, I just suck at math. :o

Well, Archangel was the only true psychopath... I guess you can count Deadpool. The rest don't kill because they like it or anything... they just kill because they can and are convinced its necessary, for better at worse. Remender at least shows that there are huge consequences for killing.

Yeah, I'd say so:

It's pretty funny that he was able to convince Wolverine and AoA Nightcrawler to try this on AoA Iceman.

So Gambit will be written by James Asmus and penciled by Clay Mann. I like Mann's artwork but I never read anything by Asmus. Any good?

Asides from counting wrong. Everything you say in that statement is pure fact.

Name sounds familiar but I can't place it.
He was the most recent writer on Gen Hope. He's also done a few X-men minis and oneshots in the last couple of years as well as Astonishing Xmen 43. His most recent work was Captain America and Bucky 625-628

He's written various short or one off X-Men stuff over the last few years. The last couple arcs on Generation Hope, various stories in the many X-Men anthology series' that have come out since they moved to San Fran like Manifest Destiny, Nation X, X-Men vs Vampires, Serve and Protect, and the last Uncanny Annual, Namor's annual, and the Steve Rogers: Super Soldier annual. He also did a few issues of Cap and Bucky with Brubaker.

His anthology work makes him seem like a more humorous writer. I'm not sure if that's good or bad for Gambit.

Gambit could probably benefit from a more humorous writer who gets his charm and appeal down. He's been way too angsty over Rogue in recent years and it would be great to see him lighten up and have fun again

I don't know, I'm probably not gonna bother reading it, if I'm being honest. I've never been a big Gambit fan.

Im guessing you never read X-23? I think Liu did amazing work with him there and could turn even a non Gambit fan

I liked the last two arcs of Generation Hope alright and the art was good, and being the X-Men fan I am I'm sure I'll give Gambit at least an arc or two. We'll see how it goes. Honestly, the little bit I read about it didn't really strike me as impressive. I'm dissappointed Liu isn't writing it :(

I'll be pciking it up. He's my top fave. :)

I finally decided to pick up that X-Club miniseries that recently came out.

Dr. Nemesis is still, by far, the funniest character in the X-Men comics.
