X3: Are we in trouble?

:)

Then explain the VERY BIG DROP with the Box Office  a drop that is NOT supposed to happen until a Movies SECOND WEEK in Theaters not the Second Day

Wowzer.
I guess some WOM was bad.
It still made the money though and I am glad it made the good money.
It'll be #1 again next week.

It is funny I look at the Box Office Thread in the X Boards. They are pretending like there is no big drop or anything lol. They must act like the bad things never happen

That depends on WOM & if the Movie can not even stay high enough on its Second Day of Release ? That is kinda bad

Well, it made a chunk of money.
And thats just domestically.

Besides, nothing opens next weekend.
I highly doubt that The Da Vinci Code will come back and take #1 again.

& I think Opening Day really means nothing. Any Movie can make Money on its First Day. Even a Movie that had just about every Critic against it (The Da Vinci Code). Word of mouth & what happens after is & should be more important. As I said ANY Movie can make a Chunk of Money on day one & the fact that this Movie could not even survive its Second day well it did but very barely. Yikes This Movie needs a big push up. I guess we can not really fully get a good idea until after we get a the full 3 day figure. But still bad start

It had a huge drop in sales from day 1 to day 2. I think people know this movie sucks. It's gonna have a huge drop next week.

This will be Hulk all over again. Big opening, then takes a dive.

The big drop can be attributed to many things, we seem to forget it had a record breaking opening day, its very hard to get those same type of numbers the second day.

Adjusted for inflation, it did not break the record. Spider-Man's previous record holding day was from Saturday not Friday. Friday it did 40 mill, Saturday 43 million. And that was on a non holiday weekend, at the beginning of May.

X-men dropped form 45 mil to 32 mil. That's a huge drop off.

Adjusted for inflation? Who the **** cares? Frankly, all predictions had it making around 32 million opening day. The fact that it had a record breaking first day (inflation or not) means that the second day will get a huge drop. If the numbers come in tomoorw that it had another big drop today I will concede to your argument.

I saw it too, and in my opinion... yes we were.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, Marvel's hit a really bad streak lately. Elektra, Fantastic Four, now X3... I hope Ghost Rider will turn things around.

I thought it was very interesting, in the documentary on the "Elektra Director's Cut," to see how Fox sends PAGES of notes on "requested changes" to the film to the director... I betcha they do that **** all the time. And when that fails, they just force the changes (as we see a tiny snippet of in the featurette on the Daredevil: Director's Cut, where an executive is actually STANDING OVER MSJ asking him why certain scenes are needed).

FOX Executive:"So tell me again, why do we need to make Daredevil blind?"

They probably really did ask that. I mean, if you watched the hour-long documentary on Daredevil's theatrical DVD, you know that they tried to get rid of the red costume AND elminate the horns on the top, basically making him into a black leather S&M maniac.

I saw X3, and the answer is yes...

I saw it yesterday and I enjoyed it. A few predictable corny lines here and there but I had a good time. Jackman, McCullen, and Stewart kicked ass. By the way I saw a preview of Ghost Rider and all I got to say is WOW!!
