X3: Are we in trouble?

X 3 was AMAZING.
much like the poster above, I've been reading X Men for 24 years and I've only one thing to say; if you like X Men the comic, read the comic. If you've enjoyed X Men the movies, you will LOVE 3.

X Men FAILS as adaptations and translations. As movies they excel using Characters we know and love and putting them in similiar scenarios. They are not the books. It's no Sin City. It's X Men and if you've found yourself thinking that X1 was good but never dropped, X2 had soul and feeling then you will believe that X 3 is the hammer that drops, the gear shifting into 5th and delivering.
The pacing is fantastic and it moves like a rollercoaster first going up, then speeding down to an awesome climax.
Pay little attention to thos who post and say things like:
'It's too short'
'no character development'
or my personal fav: "There was no explaination no depth all explosions and they left the X-men storylines which have been around for ages and created a BRAND NEW storyline of their own"

BROTHERS - this isn't the COMIC. DO I need to retype that? I'll school and reschool afterwards quoting issues and pages from the books. I can do pretty well quoting the films, which are different that the books. As a third film X 3 excels.

I saw X-Men 3 and I like the movie but they killed Prof Xievier Charles

Sorry, I always put spoilers but this time I forgot :)

i see the movie, i feel the movie insind me , i love the movie!

but! my mistake i have not wait till the end of the credits.

X3 was amazing...it was far better than I thought it would be, and a lot better than critics said it was...although all reviews I read were fairly positive.

If you liked the first 2 you'll probably like this one.

$44.5 million opening day, smashing previuos records, yeah, i'd say X3 will be fine, plus what a movie, seeing it again Monday.

X3 was awesome and easily surpassed my expectations. That ending after the credits was a very nice touch.

I was convinced this movie was in trouble when Ratner became involved, but as I watched more of the trailers, I warmed up a bit and thought it had a chance....I learned to go with my initial instincts.
This movie was the least of the X films for sure. Quite diapointing.

Does anybody think there will be an X-Men 4?? This movie appears to be a success so far............

I certainly found the film to be a disapointment. But that's just my opinion.

I was impressed with the action but I was kind of disappointed with the story. I don't even know who half of the mutants they showed were. I'm sure they were probably made up for the movie but couldn't they at least tell us their names. The only name I caught was Arc-light. I didn't get to see the ending credits, I saw it before work and had to rush out of the theater to make it on time. :venom:

what? to see how Xavier goes against what he said himself to his students and does the unethical thing? to see how he thinks the rules don't apply to him? to see how the writers copped out of the bad decisions they made, retconning the movie before it even ended?

I wish I'd left before the credits... :o

I was worried not only when I heard Ratner was onboard, but when I heard the writers were responsible for cinematic tripe like Elektra and xXx: State of the Union.

it showed.

What is your first language by the way? Because your English is pretty good for a second language.

X-Men: the Last Stand did not deserve to break Spider-Man's record

I liked X3. Though they decided to re-write the comics. It gave true action and seemed like a more honest movie than its predecessors.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

yep. and here I was starting to grow some hope in the general audiences, with s#!t like CINO and Stealth bombing hard in the past, but alas, they once again show that their taste for crap is bigger than anything

It's only opening weekend. It's a sequel that left off on a moment of anticpation. Even non-comic fans had a sense that Jean was coming back and want to see how it plays out.
Next weekend will be the telling factor.

I agree, but I dont think it will. And if by some chance it did, I think spidey 3 will beat it's record.:spidey:

I wouldn't say that X-Men 3 is terrible. It's not as if they hired Abrahams, Zucker, and Zucker and told them to make the Airplane! of superhero movies.

It's just that it could have been so much better. They just needed to put in all the dialogue from the novelization by Chris Claremont, cut out the scene where Magneto spurns Mystique, and (much as some would want it otherwise) cut out the last scene after the credits, as that was simply just a cop out.

Well, it did, and it was a very good film, I was very impressed with it, now its new total is $107 Million, wow, that movie must suck, lol

It has surpassed my expectations, and that was difficult. I hated it more than I thought, and I'm no Singer fanboy... I do like the characters, though, and I felt all but Wolvy/Mags get the shaft...
