You need to Volunteer.....NOW!

the President and Chief of Staff have stated they want it to be mandatory but I don't think that made it into the bill....I haven't read all of it....just the main part of the bill and a good chunk of the amendments

but calling it the "madatory vlounteer act" and crazy woman Bachman saying there will be "re-education camps" to brainwash young people...

They're just wanting people to go nuts and start killing authoriative figures to protect ourselves.

I assume that's the aim, in claiming that we're going to be thrown into labor OR reeducation camps.

It's one thing to have talking heads and pundits, and us....but when you've got public officials bascially wanting to incite a mob and cause anarchy...I dunno, seems very wrong to me.

This is going to become a law that is void of teeth as there will be no way to enforce it. What will you do? Send kids to juvi hall for not fulfilling their forced community service? As BlackLantern said, we can't get kids to go to school, how will we get them to do this? Plus, volunteer work means nothing if it is forced, so what is the point anyway? You'll have a bunch of kids who could care less about what they're doing half assing it.

why, for the service they'd have that handled, for any local social service they would bus/commute with only food being an issue (school does this) so the only ones needing all that would be any portion that chose some out of state civil service which would be the vast minority. I'd say the money gained through this workforce would easily offset the expense.

In all seriousness, it's a fantastic program. Some of those kids have situations that are so sad and horrific you really feel like you're making a substantial difference in their lives just by teaching them sports or taking them to a comic book store or to the beach. Gives anyone a damn good idea of how good we have it and how much worse it could be.

Good man. I'll also say an after effect of this is try not picking up a girl if she finds out what you're doing, just try I dare you, it's impossible not to get a number. And while that shouldn't be a primary reason for helping out, it's still pretty nice.

There was the issue of Obama wanting to force 18-22 year olds to be forced to volunteer...

We will see that issue again shortly...look at all the websites devoted to it. Frankly...I want to volunteer under my own accord, not because the govt demands it.

Lets not get into the nazi deathcamps....that is fiction...if not fiction at this point, doesnt matter. Lets focus simply on the Forced Volunteering...

Concentrate on the beginning.

Now look, there are more and more websites devoted to volunteering...

This is a complete violation of civil rights IMO...War is one thing....and I mean someone invading us war....not war on terror war...

All these websites are prepping the groundwork for it all.
