Apocalypse Young Cyclops/Jean/Storm? Casting Ideas

Yes I know this film is a ways off and we have no idea if any of these characters are set to appear at all, but I think we can all agree that the First Class series will inevitably get to re-indroducing these founding members at some point. With X-Men: Apocalypse potentially focusing solely on the prequel cast once again, now would be the perfect time to bring back some big names with fresh faces.

Who would you cast in these respective roles?

Maybe relatively unknowns similar to what the FC cast were during XFC, but they will still want decent actors for them roles, ESP if they wanna explore origins for say storm

Heck, even Halle Berry in X1 looks younger than Sonequa right now.

Now that we have the official word as far as the X-Verse Timeline is concerned, the only way we will see younger versions of these characters in Apocalypse is if the film leaps ahead to the late 80s.

I'm all for young/adult let's say 18-20 yr old Scott, Jean and Storm for X-Men: Apocalypse. Singer's interview intrigued me when he told empire "this movie will deal with mutants possibly being worshiped as gods or considered to themselves to be gods." I was thinking that'll be a great side story line for Storm because she basically was worshiped as a goddess and what if Apocalypse tried to recruit her as one if his horsemen because he sees her as a "god??" There's no doubt this movie is going to take us to Africa....

plus on Singer's twitter he captioned a picture of the writers saying "it's snowing in Egypt" so that has to be a clue to young Storm!!!

Based on Singer and Kinberg's comments about X:A, I don't see another 'between-films time jump' happening, which is why I don't think we'll see younger versions of these characters in the movie.

With it looking like the OT cast won't be brought back for Apocalypse or in very very minor appearances they'll most certainly introduce those characters to the past timeline.

Agreed.Now question Is how much time will go between end of DOFP and Apocalypse.That will give us answer to younger versions of Cyclops,Jean,and Storm.

We'll probably see Quicksilver and Havok again, and could possibly see a young Storm, but doubt we'll see Jean, Scott, and Remy.

It's kind of a shame that Hoult was cast as Beast, because he's got the look of a younger Marsden Cyclops.

He does say Apocalypse will take place "some time" after DOFP, though he also says one will lead into another and it might be odd to put a decade between them.

That said, it seems like a no brainer to make another jump with this and bring in the big names.

The tenor of Singer's comments, to me, indicates that, while there is going to be some 'off-screen' passage of time between DoFP and X:A, they're not going to be doing any massive leapfrogging, which rules out, at the very least, the use of Jean (as they'd have to leap-frog a decade in order to use her), Scott, and Remy (as they'd have to leap-frog at least 14 years in order to use them).

I think it depends entirely on how DOFP ends. We can expect some kind of thread left for the next film, Singer has said as much. I don't think it will have any kind of urgency though, I don't see it being a cliffhanger. That makes it totally plausable that another time jump could happen.

I guess we should be looking at what historical backdrop Singer could be linking the next one too. He's clearly enjoying that aspect.

Scott and Jean are 18, Storm is younger.

Dylan O’Brien as Cyclops, imo he has same shape of face as Marsden.


Emma Watson as Jean Grey, has brown eyes like Famke, not blue like actress in one of earlier posts.


Yara Shahidi as Storm, she's pretty and has potential.

It's so boring back to the origins,we're stuck in the past.I'm not interested to see the X-Men kids,Add evolution Storm / Halle, Famke / Phoenix.

I hate the reboots,always is the same.
