I guess its a good thing, too, that technology has advanced so the tentacles can be totally CGI for Molina's sake. He's not as physically capable as he was back in 2004. I imagine it would be quite a strain for him to be carrying puppet tentacles on his back now.

And they're even using some practical effects! I think they figured that there was no way Ock's arms would look as cool as they did in SM2 if they didn't use some puppetry. They need to look and move like living things.
