forreal he looks different. he looks more sinister, no pun intended. I can't tell if the deaging was applied to the trailer or not - it probably was, but I don't even care.

I'm shocked at how great the tentacles looked. The CGI really wasn't noticeable at all, they look basically the same as they did 17 years ago.

They may have used the old contraption to enhance with CGI, that helps mask the CGI more.

wow yes this would actually make me excited for the Lizard. a whole proper redesign can go a long way for audiences

Yup. The snout alone goes a long way. Remembering his look in ASM, I swear Hollywood back then worried way too much on if the general audience would accept how a comic character would look when the simple truth was, write the dang character well and the audience will buy it. Of all things too I don't know why they thought a snout was an issue. Just animate his eyes if they worried about emotion from the actor.
