I think this is where a lot of the BTS drama is stemmed from, to be frank. Snyder has mentioned on more than a few occasions he outright disobeyed WBs mandates. For his fanbase they consider it badass as it caters to their wants, but from the studio side I can see how that's a huge pain in the ass. And undoubtedly sheds some doubt on how well they'd gel on future productions.

Maybe. But apparently he did SOME of the stuff they asked with JL. So I dunno, I think they also just wanted wiggle room to do other things with some of the characters. But then why kill New Gods, or even The Trench which is unrelated to Snyder.

I personally thought John David Washington would have made a good John Stewart. I have no clue who Wayne T Carr is. But who knows... I am not attached to Snyder's apparent pick because we never seen him in action. So honestly the green lantern thing is not that big of an ordeal for me as Warner Brother's incapability of getting their **** together with DC properties. If by some miracle WB can figure it out, I am happy either way.

I'm shocked fans on VERO haven't convinced Snyder to post pictures of his GL footage he shot, he's admitted he shot the footage on his lot back in the day, he has the footage. It would be wild if he posted it.

Yup. And lets be honest, if Zack released that scene and the twitterverse goes nuts about it, WB wont hear the end of it and demand that the actor be cast in whatever GL movie theyve got planned. They dont want the hastle.

Truth of the matter is that WB doesn't have any long term plans most likely. Sure they'll probably announce another Phantom project, but clearly they're more short term than long term. I don't see that changing anytime soon. When Zack is long gone these same issues will likely still show up again.

WB input legitimately doesn't matter, or rather... f**k them. They put the ZSJL on ice, if it wasn't for Snyder posting images of what was cut, what he drew that wasn't finished, then ZSJL wouldn't have come out. That's not an opinion, that's a fact. He essentially led the charge by doing so, and now you're telling me he has to listen to WB when it comes to posting yet another unreleased piece? Nah, he should post it anyway. Especially if it was yet another unknown gem of casting that was going to give a huge opportunity to a small-time actor. That actor deserves the attention, all the praise, and should be recognized by the fandom and Youtubers that gave far too much attention to that idiot that was milking all the Hal Jordan speculation, Sam Benjamin.

I mean, look, at the end of the day its WB's property, they can do what they want. BUT, my only argument is that nothing is happening with GL right now and I GUARANTEE you a a cameo scene with John Stewart would have gotten people excited and then, y'know, maybe would have emboldened WB even further to expedite a GL movie. Look at all the excitement over Darkseid that this movie has generated. New Gods is canceled but we all got to SEE Darkseid in this movie and now WB knows theres interest for that world. Snyder's giving people appetizers of the DC universe and showing the cool potential all these characters have.

So, look, if DC/WB doesnt want the GL scene out so be it, thats their choice but.....why not man? What harm will it do? it will only get people excited about Green Lantern again

See, I think WB does have some kind of plan for GL. Be it a series or movie, but its happening imo. They pretty much gave Snyder the go ahead with everything else. They want to introduce GL their way after that RR awful movie. Not saying its right, but tis' their right as the property owner to do so. I think Snyder will eventually release bts GL pic tho, but no footage.

Regardless of all the drama that we are all discussing now, there is genuine interest out there for what WB is going to do next with the DC properties in the aftermath of ZSJL. Whether its going to be more of the same incompetence as its been over the last few years or they actually have a decent plan remains to be seen. Suicide Squad is going to be the first test. I personally am excited for the film. I am willing to give them a shot and see what happens next because at the end of the day, they're not going anywhere and I am always going to be a DC fan. I also think they're probably going to try and appease the Snyder fans at some capacity too. How they do that I have no idea but we just got a well received Justice League movie that has created major buzz and this forum is full of nothing but negativity in spite of it. I just want to be happy the Snyder cut was released and that it was good and made people happy. I am so tired of knowing how the sausage is made. I am one of those guys that got to see the world before and after the age of social media and I swear social media has sucked the fun out of all of this and everything else to be honest. I say this as a millennial.

According to a new listing from Production List from less than 2 months ago, the series is scheduled to begin filming in LA in 10 days.

...But I don't think it involves John Stewart.
