Zack Snyder to take on Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead

Zack Snyder and Ayn Rand seems a very strange combination.

Also, too many y's.

That's certainly weird. Seems more like Nolan's kind of thing.

Zack Snyder puts as much political thought into his films as I do into pouring a glass of orange juice. I have no doubt the dude just wants to make a parable about film making.

I ve long thought that Snyder was just too enamored with Rorschach (presenting him with too much "bad ass" visual language) That Snyder is apparently an objectivist, or at least enough of one to take this on is illuminating.

As said in a article I read on this matter, its absolutely *shocking* that Zach Snyder would find appeal in a story about an arrogant "genius" who hates how the world doesn't appreciate his "incredible" artistic work. */blatant lies*

This could be great fun, in the manner Film Critic Hulk called the "unintentional exploitation piece", as Snyder accidentally reveals far too much about his own thought processes to the world. Alternatively, he could just completely and utterly fail to understand or communicate the message of the work, which would be hilarious in its own right.

We had to read this thing in high school, and I have never hated an assignment more. Ayn Rand was just a miserable person, very unpleasant. Her archived interviews on Youtube, and man....

I am a bit curious if he would actually make this. I don't think its that weird that he would be interested in something like this, makes sense in a way.

I am a fan of Aynd Rand's writing, not that I agree with everything she had to say , but I like the writing.

Pa and Ma Kent's parenting make a lot more sense now :o

The fact that Snyder is a Rand fanboy, and is now making this, is all you need to know as to why he should never have been allowed anywhere near the DC superheroes...

The thing I wonder is if all the newfound Snyder fans actually going to see this

No surprise to find out that Snyder is a follower of Ayn Rand. Explains a lot about his artistic style, creative choices and why, as m1ll3r said, he never should have been let near the DC films.

Also, yeah, we can definitely see where the Kent's parenting philosophy came from now.

I'm so glad he's making this movie. The only thing that could make me less interested in a movie based on something Ayn Rand wrote are the words "directed by Zack Snyder."

I hope he sticks to crap like this and stays the hell away from properties I care about from now on.

lol true...

I feel bad for Zack. He seems like a defeated man with everything that has happened to him. I truly think he's a good director, I just don't want him controlling the entire DCEU. He should've done something like Lobo.

Good for Zack Snyder.

I'm sure he'll do a good job on the film.

They already have a thread reviewing it. I'm halfway through Miss Lane's dissertation. I'll feed back next week when I've finished it.

Affleck is so going to star in this, isn’t he?

I can't wait until his cult become objectivists to defend Snyder.
