I'm floored by this news. I cannot fathom the logic behind this. Your big money maker, the first proper animated Batman series in a decade with a crew to die for. WBD looked at this and thought ''Nah, I'm good thanks!''. And by the sound of it, it won't even air on Cartoon Network? Why throw your golden goose to a competitor? There is no way My Adventures with Superman moves forward if they don't want this.
Apparently the tax break deal for WBD ends at the start of September. I'm worried if they don't get a buyer by then, they'll just go ahead and scrap it.
Not much reaction from crew members so far, but we do have this:
Marc Bernardin (Writer on the show):
A tweet liked by James Tucker:
So NOONAN'S, a Harley Quinn Kite Man spin-off show seems to be going ahead for now on Max/streaming/whatever they want to call it.
Somebody please explain to me why this seems more viable to HBO Max than a freakin' BATMAN cartoon from Timm, Reeves and Abrams?
Make it make sense.
Which means Coates Superman is probably in the trash can at this point. Also, as an addendum, given Zaslov's hatred of the Abram's deal, I think Abram's involvement was also a big mark against this series.

I don't think he'll want to lose Abram's... he's just pushing him to get things done. He'll have to really perform now that Zaslav has lit a fire under him.
Imagine if FOX picked this up and aired it on their Sunday night animation block... bring it full circle. Another Bruce Timm Batman cartoon on prime-time.
I mean, Harley Quinn is for adults and amazing. It's fanbase skewing older helps. So NOONAN'S, a Harley Quinn Kite Man spin-off show seems to be going ahead for now on Max/streaming/whatever they want to call it.
