I want a Dark One Liner maniac who plays with your mind. I really want this film to have a serious tone like New Nightmare.

I agree with this too. He sould develop his own Freddy, however, still paying respect to Englund's.

Did you read what I wrote? I said sure there are jokes in the later movies, but when he's not joking or setting up a punchline, there is evil, dark Freddy there.

Id like him to be like the original one, didnt say too much, killed a lot. Shadowed his face a lot so you couldnt really make out his face too much.

It's just that Englund's done it for eight films, so I don't have a problem with a new take on Freddy. What I'm trying to say is I want Billy Bob (or whoever) to remain true to the character without imitating Robert Englund.

heart and soul was gone in FREDDYS DEAD imo --
it was too funny and quirky and less horror.

i liked freddys dead, but come on to say NOW its loosing heart and soul...

That is true freddys dead was horrible and did destroy the francise at least new nightmare made up for freddys dead.Anyway billy bob thornton might turn out to be a good freddy he is a better choice then johnny deep.

Johnny Depp would be an interesting Freddy though. Becoming the monster of the first movie he's been in. Sort of a nice cycle.

Yea that would be pretty funny and a nice full circle for johnny. He is a pretty good actor and has some wonderful characters in his films. If billy bob is actually freddy i hope he isnt to different from robert's freddy and they keep the feel and additute of the character the same.

not in 1990, but in 2008 w/Pirates and such on his belt and the biggest star in the world i think hes above it or at least he thinks hes above it imo

Yeah, pretty much agree here. Unless they offered him a fat deal. Even then im not so sure.

Yes but there was also a time when people said Johnny Depp would never be a big budget blockbuster guy. And here we are with the POTC trilogy.

I am sure he would certainly consider it. Johnny Depp has always striked me more as a guy who picks characters he wants to play rather than looking at the actual movies themselves. I am sure he would love to play a character like Freddy. I mean lets face it wouldn't you be less shocked if he got the role instead of who we have now... Billy Bob?

I hope they make the glove look cool,at least. I like the long fingers on the glove from parts 1 and 2,but with the long,curved blades from FvJ. Also,I'd like a return to his sweater from the original,with no stripes on the arms. I've always liked that version better. I have no idea why it was changed for part 2. I don't want Krueger to look "clean" either. That's one of the many reason I like the first few films. His sweater was very dirty and his hat was ripped in places. Look at parts 4-6. Did any noticed that his sweater and hat looked like had just come from the washer/dryer? They look brand new!
