The Elm Street series are slasher films,but they are higher brow slasher movies. They have dealt with everything from abortion,to suicide and family life. Freddy himself has more depth than any of the other slashers. With movies like Friday the 13th(which I do love)it doesn't take much. Just a guy in a mask and half naked girls.

Yeah, some of the decent scenes were. When freddy was flying on the broom stick "i will get you my pretty"

When he had his own power glove.

When he scratched the giant chalk board and made carlos' head explode.

The Carlos death scene was classic Freddy but everything else was pretty god awful. And the fact that it has 3D scenes adds the final stamp of it being garbage.

Yeah that one was pretty bad but you can make the argument they were coming straight off the first one trying to add some kind of new spin to it and it just didn't work. Freddy's Dead was very late in the series so in my eyes they just completely ****ed up that movie and had no excuse. They made it too ridiculous and obviously were trying to go for kid friendly type movie which a Freddy movie shouldn't be.

I'm not saying Freddys dead is the best. But i get a little bit of more Entertainment from it then I do from Freddy's Revenge.

Knowing Freddy's Dead is crap is one of the best parts. You can just openly laugh at some of the stupid stuff in it.

The tying up the gym teacher in the shower part is well, just gay.

I'm not a homopbobe but that scene makes anyone who watches it wtf?! And freddy coming into the real world to kill you?

Most people find Nightmare 2 to be the worst. Most people also find Nightmare 3 to be the best after the first one. It's WhySoSerious that has the odd tastes.
