I don't know a good well ago. But if its this funny i'll watch it tonight for a good laugh.

I loved the score for Nightmare 2 by Chris Young(who also did Spider-man 3,whcih I liked as well),but for me,Krueger's makeup was awesome. Dream Warriors probably had the most realistic makeup,but his look in part 2 was very creepy and skull-like. The original Elm Street was a great makeup too. After part 3 the makeup went downhill. His face looked less and less like a burn victim and more like a pizza. Krueger's look for The Dream Child and Freddy's Dead were HORRIBLE. He looked like an old man with a bad case of acne.I know the producers wanted him to show his age,but they could've done better than what the final product turned out to be...alot better.
The reason Freddy started turning into the anti-hero was to try and get a broader audience,and it did work,but it ruined the character. I find it kinda funny that he was so embraced by society,even outside the horror community,despite being a sick and twisted child killer. But,I think New Line played down that aspect in later films. Personally,I want Krueger to be like he was in the first 3. A few one liners now and then,but overall a very terrifying monster. I want to see him killing children and being that sick bastard we all know he is. I know Wes Craven was also upset at how Freddy turned into this "jokester," in later films.
I'm not for this remake,but if it's gonna happen then they MUST make Krueger scary again. No one liners and very brutal kills,and try not to show Freddy's face. Keep him mysterious. To begin that journey,the film itself needs to be scary,however.

Yeah that's pretty funny NOES pt.2 was actually the first Freddy film I watched and Freddy looked cool all slimy and killing those kids at the party.

In the DVD box set in the special features disc an interview with the director actually says that he purposely made Robert Englund's nose more "hook" like sort of a male witch and he does acknowlegde how the movie seems homoerotic.

i dig part2, its darker and weird like part1 before freddy became a joke-ster and it has a weird, homoerotic quality that i dig in a ocmpletely hetero way...

imo:
1 and 2. dark, creepy and almost silent. i dig the jokester freddy but i dig the dark one more.
