Who is the better dancer, you or Spoons?

Also, you said you grew up playing the piano and writing your own music, do you often find yourself writing during stressful situations or do you do other things to cope with your problems?

What "style" of music do you play/write? I see you as a jazz person, myself.

Who is the better dancer, you or Spoons? Well, I think people who have seen us both dance would be a better judge of that. I certainly dance a lot more OFTEN than Spoons, though. He usually dances his own "special" drunk dances when he gets buzzed.

Also, you said you grew up playing the piano and writing your own music, do you often find yourself writing during stressful situations or do you do other things to cope with your problems? No no, I was never a big writer of my own music. I did it for the exercises I was given when I had to, but I would never say that's a talent of mine. In terms of writing, I love to write and am good at it, but not in regards to writing music.

What "style" of music do you play/write? I see you as a jazz person, myself.
I hate jazz. My favorite type of music to play was classical...usually Mozart, Beethoven, or Bach. I also really enjoyed playing movie scores (and yes, I have a book of Disney songs).

It's gon' rain!

what are your favorite classical pieces?

do you have any more contemporary classical pieces you enjoy? would that fall under scores?

what are your favorite classical pieces?

Clair de Lune - Debussy (and NO, this has nothing to do with Twilight. I liked it long before the series came out)
Piano Sonata No. 14 In C Sharp Minor (Moonlight Sonata) - Beethoven
Lacrimosa from Mozart's Requiem
Minuet in G - Bach
Hungarian Dance No. 5 - Brahms

Pavane, Opt. 50 - Faure
Piano Concerto No. 21 In C Major - Mozart
Piano Sonata No. 11: Rondo Alla Turca - Mozart

Piano Concerto No. 2 In C Minor, Op. 18 - Rachmaninov
La Gioconda: Dance Of The Hours - Ponchielli

Intermezzo (Cavalleria Rusticana) - Pietro Mascagni
Ave Maria (this version, not Schubert):

I actually love oldschool Charlotte Church...she sang a lot of my favorites. I love her "Prelude" album: "Pie Jesu," "La Pastorella," "The Flower Duet," "Habañera" and a song she did with Billy Gilman called "Dream a Dream."

I have a lot more...it's difficult for me to remember the names of most pieces. If I went over to my mother's and pulled out all of my old sheet music I could list more.

I loved Pachelbel's Canon in D until I started having to go to a bajillion weddings and it was played at all of them.

Also love all of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker music, as well as Swan Lake. And the Magic Flute by Mozart.

Some of what I listed is considered more contemporary...and sure, I think scores would definitely fall into that category.

the first 4 classical pieces you posted I have on my ipod

i'm going to check out all the others. i may know them when i hear them but don't recognize them by title (know most of the composers though!)

I hope that you enjoy! A lot of the vocal music I listed is near and dear to my heart, having performed it as part of various choirs over the years. Some of the songs are just hauntingly beautiful.

Is it your love of Disney? Perhaps, but I'm pretty damn cute regardless :o
Are you a disney princess? If I tell you, I'll have to kill you.
Have you ever been a disney princess for halloween? No, but I am really debating on doing that this year. I've only been a villain...I was the Queen of Hearts, it was an amazing costume.
Who's your disney prince crush? Prince Eric and Aladdin

QUICK! Marry, Hit it and Quit it, or punch in the face! (Tarzan, Gaston, Milo)Oh lord, these are tough. I guess I'd marry that nerd Milo, hit it and quit it with gaston because at least he has experience in the sack, and punch poor Tarzan for speaking gorilla at me.

Yay!

I consider myself a deeply passionate, strong-minded independent but not black woman. I have strong emotions but dont let them rule me.

What is your favorite movie "trilogy" of all time?

Have you or anyone you know been affected by the economic mess?

How much does gasoline cost per gallon in your area?

What is your favorite movie "trilogy" of all time?

Lord of the Rings

Have you or anyone you know been affected by the economic mess? I think that everyone has been affected in some way. I am lucky to have a stable job, so I certainly haven't been affected in the same way that some people have. My dad's girlfriend finally got a new job after being out of work for over 6 months.

How much does gasoline cost per gallon in your area? Last I checked it was $3.45 a gallon.

how many songs are in your ipod/mp3 player? At the moment, only 876. I'm in the processing of re-doing the entire thing because I'd originally far exceeded the 16 GB space limit lol

if you put it on shuffle right now, what are the the 5 songs that pop up? "Down On Me" - Jeremih, "What a Man" - Salt n Pepa, "Guilt" - Nero, "On and On" - Girl Talk, "I Saw the Sign" - Ace of Base

what cd is in your car right now? I only use my iPod

What did you want to be when you were 6?

I can't remember what was going on at age 6. I probably wanted to be the Pink Ranger from Power Rangers.
