This year's playoffs gave us a good glimpse of what to expect next year. I see in the east the cavs and wizards becoming serious contenders, while detroit continues to slip. The Heat without ZO and payton will still be the best team in the east, it'll just be harder to get back to the finals(notice i said get back) In the west, I'm rootin' for the lakes and clips to advance at least to the conf finals, Mavs will the best team out there, but the suns will be oh sooo badass with the return of amare (man i can't wait to see him embarass duncan again) Unless KG goes to the mavs, i don't see him making any other team automatic contenders for a title. Next years MVP will probably be either Lebron/Kobe/Wade, these are the 3 best players in the league.
This is true.

yeah samurai is pretty sound in his perceptions.... miami heat fans are not that bad... i will say you guys are not sore winners.... well some of you anyway....i think detroit will be dismantled this year i see ben going somewhere else.... and the team just doesnt look right to me

Don't cound out Chicago y'all. Seriously. they have my balls tingling.

i said chi town will be nice next year..specially if they get ben or JO:eek:

what's the big deal about JO... he's on the downside of his career, he's injury prone and he's inconsistant in the playoffs.

plus whoever trades for him is gonna end up giving more than they want.... leave him in Indy and go for someone like Harrington in Atlanta.

i would love to get bosh outa toronto ..but with colangelo there..it will be hard now

he's a solid GM... don't be surprised if he straightens them out.

Pfft... Mavs all the way next year. Spurs will MURDER the Suns then lose to the Mavs again. :p

My thoughts exactly.

yup larry brown was axed!.. isiah is now in his place

Lakers get Garnett... team goes bananas and the NBA explodes. David Stern becomes porn star, and a team from the developmental league becomes champions by default:confused:

yo what the **** dunn we got an offseason thread as well you know?

**** is up with all these NBA threads after the season is over?

Anyways, it's like this *****s, Amare needs to come back and just dominate the league. T-Mac need to come back and be healthy and teams like San Antonio, The Lakers, Pistons and the Mavs need to be motivated like MJ in the summer of 95 and just handle there business....

one and nullus

Knicks need to fire all their players and get KG. Then they will be a much better team. Just KG.
KG is going to be a free agent? Man I would think he would stay with the Wolves.

KG and McHale have both said there is no trade possibility. I suppose things could always change, but I don't see it happening.

KG can opt out of his contract in 2007. If I was him, I'd do it and then go to Cleveland or Miami.

Miami can't afford him. Can they?

It'd most likely have to be a veteran's exception like Mourning and GP took. Shaq is pulling down 20M/year, D-Wade will likely get a 5 yr/75M extension this summer and Miami is on the line for 6 yrs/53M for Walker.

Jordan Farmar is the best pg in this draft.
Randy Foye and Marcus Williams might disagree with that.

I think the Suns will beat the Spurs, but possibly lose to the Mavs in the WCF again.

It does not matter who wins between Phoenix and San Antonio, either will lose to Dallas.
