Also...
Hawaii deserves to be in the BCS Championship more than LSU, Georgia, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, USC and Virgina Tech.
The only reason why Hawaii isn't playing in the BCS is because they can't bring in ratings or sell tickets... the schedule is just the lame ass excuse... EVERYONE has two losses... how can Hawaii be justifiably left out? That's why we'll never have a final four/playoff in CF. Because the presidents are greedy f**ks that need the extra change... that's why Kansas is in over Missouri... no one from Missouri is gonna pay do go down to the Orange Bowl after blowing a chance to get into the title game... the fact the Jayhawks were such a feel good story... their fans will be more willing to pay for tickets and rekindle the magic they had for the majority of this season.
No, they don't.
Hawaii shouldn't be in the BCS because of their ratings and not because of their schedule? Honestly, have you ever looked at their schedule? It's a wonder they made a BCS bowl, let alone the National Title! They'd have to be a horrible team to lose to any of the teams they played (except Boise State, I suppose.)
Agreed. That settles it all. Automatic bids for all conferences and still plenty of at-large spots to round it out.'fire posted this a few days ago. Best way of doing college playoffs, I've seen.
I've yet to hear a good reason NOT to have a playoff in Division 1 football. Division 2 and Division 3 schools have it with no problems. The playoff systems in other collegiate sports have existed for years with no problems.

Teams would NEVER rest their players for a rivalry game, which is near exclusively what takes place during the last week of the season. Georgia Tech clinched a spot in the ACC Championship game last year before their final contest. They had no remote chance of going to play for anything higher than the conference title and they still played as hard as they could against Georgia, not because it had anything to do with their BCS positioning, but rather because it meant everything to anyone who put on that uniform.
There's no way coaches sit out their starters for OSU/Michigan, Florida/Florida State, Clemson/South Carolina, the Apple Cup, the Civil War or anything else. There's too much pride and competition in those games, built up over decades to just toss it away. Outside of the very real possibility of voters heavily penalizing a team for dogging it, the coaches, administration (and I'd like to believe) the players wouldn't entertain it.

QB Tim Tebow - Florida
QB Colt Brennan - Hawaii
QB Chase Daniel - Mizzou
RB Darren McFadden - Ar-Kansas
Tebow.
The lack of Kevin Smith is complete and utter bull. Screw the system, man. Seriously.
