You know the only people I hear that from is the West Virgina faithful... and lemme guess... you're one of them, no? I couldn't laugh harder... this is the same group of fans that complain their team gets no credit because of the schedule they play... and yet they have STILL not gone 12-0 in any year in that watered down conference... and I don't know how that's possible because the conference is the worst of the six... the Big Ten and the ACC have been atrocious the last couple of years... but I'd take the top four in those conferences than the top four Big East teams any day of the week.
I'd take the ACC too - I was born and raised an NC State fan, but I have some ties to WVU, plus I'm a student. I will defend the Big East, but only to the extent that I did in my last post. I think they're on their way, and deserve credit for the strides that teams like Rutgers, Cincy, and South Florida have made. I will admit they still have a long way to go. In actual fact I'm not one of the ones who complains about getting no credit. I've been saying to all my friends at school that I think even the Fiesta Bowl is too good for us. I'd have given WVU the Gator Bowl at the very best.

And, Tangled Web, I'd love Terry Bowden cause I have a lot of respect for his family, both as people and coaches. The man comes from very good stock. However, he has been out of coaching for a while, and I don't know if he'd be able to lead our team in situations where Rich Rod could not. Just the same, I really liked Norm Chow when he was at NC State, and have a lot of respect for him as an offensive mind. I think he'd really be able to bring Pat White into the forefront of the Heisman race next year.

I already mentioned that was the ONE game he won... man you people need to skim all the posts in BETWEEN before you reply...

And I never said he wasn't the best guy available... but lets be honest... the Big East is a joke.

Admitting a fact that pretty much dismisses your entire point deserves to be repeated.

Again, your assessment of the guy as a coach that can't win the big game is ludicrous.

I would take Lousiville, USF, Rutgers and WV over BC, Virginia Tech, Virginia and...some fourth team easily.

Dantonio needs to keep his mouth shut, I thought he learned his lesson with the Mike Hart debacle to stay "above it all", but I guess not.

I will say being a Michigan fan I did want Miles here, but I couldn't be happier with the hiring of Rich Rod - he has truly done more with less talent. Looks like Michigan's offense will finally move into the 21st Century.

Oh, please. It wouldn't be a rivalry without the trash talk. Pretty hypocritical of you to say that, since I guess you encourage Mike Hart's trash.

What is Dantonio supposed to do, huh? Praise the hiring? All he's said is "We're Michigan State, that's all I have to worry about"

Nice to see you, after your bold prediction that MSU would lose out.

Also, if Rich Rod's "vaunted QB" I'm hearing of comes to U-M, could be trouble for the Big Ten. But if he gets hurt, that offense is screwed. Ex: Pat White hurt, Dennis Dixon.

I am still puzzled as to why Michigan strived to replaced mediocrity with mediocrity at coach.

Lucky for them, their fans did not get their way.

Also, the Nations Best Runningback is returning for his Senior Season.

Can you smell Undefeated UCF Knights? Because I can.

LMAO the Saban part at the end had me in tears...

Hmm about the Chi Chi hire, if he doesn't have strong Ohio ties then say bye bye to the good Ohio talent. Plus i hope you Blue fans are patient, because it will take awhile for Chi Chi to get that system in.

Keep Mike DeBord!! :o

But here's Mark Dantonio's reaction to the hiring:

"As far as my reaction to that job, we are Michigan State. That's my reaction."

I love this guy.
:)...gotta love it

I'm immune to it by now.

SURROUNDED by them.

My rebuttal:

A smaller rival. But nothing really beats the UM rivalry for MSU.

I wouldn't know. I don't watch the hockey that much, since it's kinda bare around here, Big Ten Network and Versus

But yeah, it does get real heated. Both teams are damn good in hockey.
