a football game is 4 15 minute quarters.....players know that they have to play 4 quarters.....injuries can occur anywhere at anytime regardless of the score.....

....and it isn't high school football. These guys are multimillionaires. They are professionals.

"tool"??

coming from the person *****ing the patriots are essentially too good and getting upset that they are blowing out what are supposed to be good teams?

The Patriots are a great team - I have never said anything otherwise. I have never criticized the Patriots as a team.

Their coach is a scumbag cheater. That is not an opinion, that is not me complaining - that is simply stating a fact. If I told you the sky is blue, you would complain?

Umm...no; that is not what I said. Belichik serves humble pie to his OWN team. If they win by 1000, he says they made mistakes.

Thats his job, so what?

In terms of other teams; all he does praise. So your are syaing; this is not a question this is what you just said; that Belichik only praising the opposing team is far worse than talking trash about them.

Great argument [/quote]

No. But words are cheap. Belichicks actions are far more important. They are far more relevant.

I dont see how he is "classless" unless your saying the humble pie he gives his own players is mental abuse...sorry; thats not worse than trash talking at all; what the hell are you talking about?

He is well known for blowing off coaches post game, he just proved he has no qualms with running up the score, he has been proven to not care about the injuries of his players - making a loyal player on his team practice with a concussion.

If you want to get into his personal life - the well of reasons deepens.

Dude...you have no grasp of th eplayers positions at all; this is worse than Matt saying hed bench Romo after last week :wow:

I am so confused by this post - what does his players positions have to do with the hypocrisy of Belicheck if he complained about another coach cheating?

Dude get a ****ing clue

I have actually played football before; something you clearly haven't. I have played with players who worked harder than I did but played less.

Dont ever ****ing ***** about that. You think the Cowboys defense will complain they should have knee'd the ball? The Cowboys shoulda been able to friggin stop the 3rd stringer; he was in to run the clock. You cant ask your players not to play; and the defense couldnt stop him.

Yes; it does put his players in potential injury danager; thats why the 3rd stringer was in.

Would players love to be able to play more? Yes. However thats why players do not make those decisions. They are not rational. They are suppose to be able to have faith in their coach that they will do what is right. Belicheck let his players down here - just like he did by knowingly ignoring league rules.

You can ask players not to play - people kneeling in easy scoring range is not a novel concept. Hell - Georgia kneeled the ball within the 3 yardline a few years ago against Ole Miss.

You are trying to say the career of the 3rd string running back is so insignificant that Belicheck is right not to care about his health? Wow - that speaks volumes.

Congrats to the Pats they proved me wrong beating the Cowboys in big D. I think the Pats will be giving the Colts a lot as always. In fact if both are still undefeated it is going to have a lot of viewers. The Colts will have their hands fulll with the high scoring Pats.

Dude I'm sorry what happened to you; I lost a football ride to prep school due to a leg injury I got playing lacrosse. It sucks.

But unfortunately; injuries happen. Your out there to play football; and thats what you have to do. You cant think about not scoring. They had the friggin 3rd string running back in. If Brady was throwing bombs to Moss; or Morris was pounding it in; I understand. But come on; whats wrong with giving the 3rd stringer something to add to his stat sheet? Seriously? Anyone hating on the third stringer being given the chance to score is making Dallas look bad and just being a ***** :o

What about the offensive linemen in the game? What about Tom Brady? What about the Cowboys defense? The wide receivers? In football every player on the field is in play - an injury can happen at any time. Sometimes the ones without contact are just as devastating as the ones that aren't.

The point remains that there is no need to score another touchdown. The game was won. To add more plays to a game that is over serves no purpose but increase the chances that someone will get injured.

Stormin, you seem to be very focused on the injury impact of the whole situation....I'm sure professional athletes are in much better condition than you seem to be giving them credit for....

The point was they know the risks. And if they do get hurt, they won't have to worry about health insurance due to injuries, operations etc,. They are all millionaires. I can understand it for college football and highschool about worrying about injuries.

Robert Edwards, Patriots Rookie RB - ran for 1000 first season, Career Ending injury in a flag football game in Hawaii.

Players get injured in fluke instances every season - to say they are is such great shape not to get hurt in full speed game situations is laughable.

If there was no worry about playing your players more plays a year - you would't have people like LJ sitting out all of pre season.

A Bucs fan, on Jeff Garcia:

I'd take a bullet for him right now.

....ok maybe not a bullet, but I would take an air soft shot for him.

My thoughts exactly. :D

New England @ Miami next week.

What's the record for biggest spread in a NFL game? :(

New England doesn't have the greatest recent history in Miami...........but this year.....

Miami gonna get that ass beat. :csad:

Yeah some reason they always look sluggish down there. Sean Payton's play-calling aint as good as it was last year

Miami has played them well in recent memory, but that was when the defense was worth a damn. They're giving up points left and right this year. This is just asking for trouble.

Using some horribly flawed logic, didn't Cleveland drop 41 points on them today?

So let's think about it:

Cleveland's Offense <<<<< New England's Offense
Cleveland's Offense Output Against Miami = 41 Points
Subtract the Road Factor for the Patriots
=

Dolphins 7
Patriots 193

Give or take a touchdown.

TO on New England: "They're a good team. I wouldn't say they're the best."

Mister J on TO: "Ass."

dude screw the scoreboard; if 2-3 plays go Cowboys way they coulda won. If they play inthe super bowl i expect it to much closer.

Wow, Saints up 14-0.
REALLY? interesting...
How about dem Patriots.:ninja:
haha yup....

HAHA! wow......using logic and fact to estimate the score (i think ur spot on)

LMAO!

While there were a lot of realizations this week (LT & LJ are still ridiculous; Pats are that good; Adrian Peterson is not only the best rookie but one of the best rbs in the game, Cinci is real trouble & Eagles are ok) there is one thing people will start noticing.

I have noti9ced over the past 3 weeks.

On the Patriots:

Randy Moss is not the most dangerous threat; he is not the guy who should be double covered. Thats Donte Stallworth. Each of the past 3 games hes turned 10 yard catche sinto 20-60 yard catches with his FEET; something Moss cannot do.

Stallworth is a legitmate threat score whenever or wherever he touches the ball; Moss is not.

The duo work perfectly too: Moss with incredible hands and flat out skill of route running and catching the ball vs. Stallworth moves and incredible speed.

and Welker is a great PR and WR. 3 great receivers......The Pats are in HEaven!

But those plays didn't go that way and there's a simple reason for it; one team is just better than the other. Even without the last-second score, NE still had them by 2 TDs. In a ridiculously-hyped game, they executed where Dallas couldn't.

My main point is this: When the team who's been cutting a swath through everyone they've faced comes into your place and comfortably beats your ass too, don't be popping off after the game trying to save a little collective face. One of the reports should have asked him who was the best team if it's not the unbeaten one who just hung 48 in Texas Stadium and managed to change that previously unblemished record in Big D. Ass.
