I think Chambers was scared because he knew Miami sucked and the Patriots would target him, so he asked to be traded before he got his ass handed to him.

Nah not really, but I was trying to sound fanboyish...

Hey, I say bring the ****er back and put him at Fullback.
I don't know. With that delayed reaction time he'll be suffering from lighting up in the pre-game, he's likely to get Ronnie killed. Either that or the onset of the munchies will have him take more than his share in the pre-game meal. The O-line isn't going to put up with that ****.

Chambers going to SD will benefit my fantasy team for sure, even though he's proven to be a bit of a pansy.

Injured Bills tight end making 'solid, noticeable progress'

Injured Buffalo Bills player Kevin Everett has been able to walk to some extent as part of his rehabilitation after suffering a severe spinal cord injury during the team's season opener, sources tell Buffalo's WIVB-TV.

Doctors in Houston, where Everett's rehab has been ongoing since mid-September, are optimistic that once Everett completes his rehab he will regain his ability to walk independently, the station reports.

As part of his progress, Everett has developed enough strength to hold himself up briefly on a walker, and he can also use his feet to push himself around in a wheelchair, The Associated Press reported on Tuesday.

"He's making very solid and noticeable progress," Eric Armstead, an associate of the player's agent, Brian Overstreet, told AP. "He's very excited."

Armstead regularly visits Everett, who entered the second phase of his recovery process three weeks ago when he was transferred to Houston's Memorial Hermann Hospital rehabilitation center.

Armstead is most impressed by how Everett has been able to maneuver himself in a wheelchair.

"He can go from point A to B on his feet in a wheelchair. He can go as far as he wants to go," Armstead said, noting he's watched Everett wheel himself to the elevator and head outside. "He's showing great movement in his legs."

Everett was hurt making a tackle in the Bills' season opener against Denver on Sept. 9. He arrived at Buffalo's Millard Fillmore Hospital paralyzed from the neck down, and doctors initially feared he'd never walk again.

The prognosis changed a few days later when Everett began showing voluntary movement first in his legs and then his hands.

Armstead said Everett is now able to open and close both hands, another significant step after he showed only slight movement in his fingers while spending the first two weeks of his recovery in Buffalo.

There's still no timetable as to when Everett will be released from the hospital and continue his rehab as an outpatient. Everett currently spends about four to five hours a day in physical and occupational therapy sessions.

Everett was transferred to Houston because doctors felt it was important for him to be close to his family and friends. The player makes his offseason home in Houston and grew up in nearby Port Arthur, Texas.

Everett was visited by several Bills teammates during Buffalo's bye weekend last week. Former teammates, including cornerbackNate Clements, who's in his first year with San Francisco, have also paid visits.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

This is good news

Amazing, I hope before the end of the season he'll be able to walk out into Ralph Wilson Stadium or something, that would be great.

Good to hear about Everett's progress. In the time immediately surrounding the injury, any of this would have seen next to impossible.

I am amazed about Everett, good for him. He has become an inspiration.

Goodell is a great Comish - but his love for Europe is stupid.

And before anyone ties to be witty, yes - I meant the band.

The only way this becomes a good idea is if they somehow bring Benny Hill back to life, so he can be in the halftime show.

And random cheerleaders in garter belts.

Why do the Cowboys keep running their collective mouth?
