It's not like anyone is saying the Pats are this super team.....The Pats do some things well, the Colts do some things well........and considering the line is 4 points I expect it to be a close game.....I wont be surprised if the final score is something like 44-38

Y'know, I really had no vested interest in this game (outside of watching great football) because why would I as a Pittsburgh fan care which undefeated team loses? But now I am rooting for New England, just because Cell Dog is that damn obnoxious and I would like to see him eat his words.

Awwww Geee Whiz....:csad: And I thought we could be pals. :csad:

:woot:

this whole thing is getting stupid now, it just seems like its turning into a game of who can be the first to beat the pats instead of who is going to the superbowl.

Look for Manning to actually bootleg if he needs to. They will try to keep every drive alive.

considering my proximity to Foxboro.......I have followed Peyton since his days at tennessee......I am kind of divided on the game....I would just hope its competitive

The pats really have faced only 2 good teams so far ( redskins and dallas) the rest of the teams suck (san diago sucked at the begining of the season so they dont count). I think the majority of those teams they have faced have losing records.

So if the Patriots trounce the Colts then what does that mean...

Earlier in the season with Grossman at QB each week, almost every day really, he was sprawled across the back page of the Sun Times or Tribune, a rip session every day on him. But now with Griese they are just kind of shrugging his performance off, saying its just not him to blame. I'm glad Urlacher isn't giving the media the time of day, I'm glad he is giving all those one word answers to everything they ask, the media deserves it in my opinion, the local media anyway. And then they go crying about it in the paper how he isn't talking to them. Boo ****ing hoo Mariotti.

I was laughing my ass off when they showed all the media huddled around Urlacher after the game asking him all these long winded questions and he just says "I don't know." "Maybe." "Probably". Those were pretty much his answers to EVERY question. It was hilarious. All the media stooges were just looking at each other in between questions wondering if they should try asking another one, and of course they do. And it went for a good 5 minutes or so in that fashion. Question, one word answer, awkward pause, question, etc, etc. The media around here deserves that.

I feel bad for Grossman now. I was one of the ones that was on his back, but it is pretty apparent now that he wasn't the problem. I hope he gets another chance. A young QB has stuff to learn. Can't teach an old QB new tricks.

The thing I especially like is that the offense and Brady wants to keep pouring it on, its not just Belichick. Brady was getting upset over a false start penalty at the Redskins goal line in the 4th quarter of that game when they were up 42-0. He wants to destroy them. I like that. I don't care what anyone says, I like that attitude. This is football. They aren't out there to make friends. **** Joe Gibbs. Your team is going to get knocked on their ass the entire game until you prove you can stop them. Want to keep not covering Vrabel in the endzone even though you should know they bring him in for that exact play? Well smarten up already and they won't be scoring 50+ points on your ass. That was a demoralizing loss. Thats what intimidating teams do. No they don't have the image of Tony Dungy's buddy-buddy respect all living creatures type aura around them, they just want to pound the living **** out of the other team up and down the field for 60 minutes.

Word.

This is why I feel the Pats will go undefeated. They aren't just happy with winning. They want to see you die!:cmad:

I am now a lover of the The Pats. They are competitiveness personified!

So if the Patriots trounce the Colts then what does that mean...
then i feel really sorry ( well not really) to who ever faces them next, It will eventually become a thing where teams will game plan for the pats dispite dispite them only facing the pats 5 weeks ahead , they will completly forget about their upcoming oponents, cause right now the pats are the team to beat.

Beating the pats > Winning a superbowl.

Sounds good!

Below is a list of each week played, the team faced, the opponents' present rank (offense/defense), the final score, and the amount won by:

Patriots:

wk 1: vs. NYJ ( 30/29 ), 38-14 = 24
wk 2: vs. SD ( 19/18 ), 38-14 = 24
wk 3: vs. BUF ( 31/30 ), 38-7 = 31
wk 4: @ CIN ( 21/31 ), 34-13 = 21
wk 5: vs. CLE ( 7/32 ), 34-17 = 17
wk 6: @ DAL ( 2/6 ), 48-27 = 21
wk 7: @ MIA ( 18/25 ), 49-28 = 21
wk 8: vs. WAS ( 28/12 ), 52-7 = 45

Summary:

5 home games, 3 away games
Average opposing offense rank ( rank /8 ) = 19.5
Average opposing defense rank ( rank /8 ) = 23.4
Average amount of points won by* ( 204 /8 ) = 25.5

*while keeping starters in during garbage time

----------------------------------------------------------

Colts:

wk 1: vs. NO ( 12/19 ), 41-10 = 31
wk 2: @ TEN ( 22/5 ), 22-20 = 2
wk 3: @ HOU ( 9/17 ), 30-24 = 6
wk 4: vs. DEN ( 6/22 ), 30-20 = 10
wk 5: vs. TB ( 17/8 ), 33-14 = 19
wk 6: BYE
wk 7: @ JAC ( 20/15 ), 29-7 = 22
wk 8: @ CAR ( 21/21 ), 31-7 = 24

Summary:

3 home games, 4 away games, 1 BYE
Average opposing offense rank ( rank /7 ) = 15.3
Average opposing defense rank ( rank /7 ) = 15.3
Average amount of points won by** ( 114 /7 ) = 16.3

**while removing starters during garbage time

I cannot see how most can say the Colts don't stand a chance. Their opponents have averaged 4.2 "ranks" higher in offense and 8.1 "ranks" higher in defense than the teams the Patriots have played. The average amount of points the Pats have won by is 9.2 higher than the Colts, but they have had more home games and have kept their starters in until the end while the Colts have not. I think anyone who thinks the Patriots are going to walk away with an easy win next week is not looking at this very logically

Strength of schedule is a little bit of a factor, but it really doesn't matter when they hit the field.

The Patriots are playing pissed off and with hate, they look unbeatable. But like all great teams, they will fall eventually.

All I really care about is my 4-3 Browns!!!

But on the Pats vs. Colts, I think the Pats will win because they have more weapons than they did last year, and they almost beat the Colts, while the Colts are mostly the same (though new players are in the same roles as their losses).

I see a close game like last year's AFC Title game though. Just Brady gets that TD at the end as opposed to the pick.

I dont' care who each team faced because then you have to compare the schedules of the teams they faced. What matters is did the Pats and the Colts handle the challenge they were given...and how handily did they do it. The Pats look superior on almost every level, and about even in those areas they are not superior. Haven't the Pats scored about 100 more pts so far? I doubt the Colts can score 100 in their next game. :)

Screw you:cmad:

I forgot you were a Rams fan.

You guys gave us a fight. I was scared for most of the game. You guys won't be contenders for 0-16 very long. I think the Rams will win a game soon. I will admit, I thought they would win the West before the season began.

But, THE BROWNS ARE STILL PLAYOFF CONTENDERS!!! :woot:

Im begining to hate the fact that the Ravens let go of Derrick Anderson from their practice squad .

and I hate it more that its YOUR BROWNS that picked him up.:csad:

I don't :woot: :woot: :woot:

Anderson has been such a great player for us. Before this season started, I saw 6 wins at best, but we have 4 through 7 games!!! Never saw tha coming.

This team is just gaining momentum and confidence every week, and props to Savage and Crennel for going to Anderson instead of Quinn after that bad loss to the Steelers.
