I would not be stunned at all if Jones is talking to Jason about being the head coach. I'm sure that Wade's 13-4 year wasn't good enough after a one-and-done playoff appearance.

I don't know. That's a pretty big project in Baltimore; that offense needs major work and the defense, while still solid, is starting to slow.

If Jones wants to throw some more cash at Garrett, I don't see a lot of downside in him turning the Ravens down. He has a good situation in Dallas on the offensive side of the ball, he'll still retain his luster as a hot commodity and a number of coaching jobs will open up every year. He's a fairly young guy and it seems to be a buyer's market.

Exactly. I bet he's at least on the phone with Jerry. He thinks very highly of Garrett. Hell, I'd want him to coach my Rams if Linehan doesn't work out :o

You want every decent name out there, coach or player. Have some shame! :cmad:

If you can't locate any, we've got plenty to go around in Miami.

Jones has to have an agreement in place with Garrett to be the HC. I think the article is more or less saying that for a guy who is 3 years from playing, and only one year into coaching at any level he better be sure he has that Dallas job secure.

Dude, I just want a winning season. :csad:

And even when Linehan had a full healthy squad, they went 8-8, after blowing a 4-1 record.

Linehan has one more year, and I'm sure the Rams will do something after that.

Chiefs tab Gailey to handle reeling offense

Chiefs hired Chan Gailey as offensive coordinator.

Gailey, 56, was fired by Georgia Tech as head coach in November. He's been a coordinator in the league with Miami, Denver, and Pittsburgh, and for two years was Dallas' head coach. The well-traveled Gailey is known as a conservative offensive mind who favors using the run to open up passing lanes, so he should mesh perfectly with Chiefs coach Herm Edwards. Jan. 16 - 4:25 pm et

I - who doesn't watch much football, must laugh at the obvious hypocritical nature of the San Diego Chargers last game.

EVERYBODY WANTED/EXPECTED THEM TO LOSE - INCLUDING THE REPS.

AMAZING.:whatever:

Judging from the reports I can say what I think happened with Randy.

Randy and this girl were having sex at her place and he hurt in the midst of weather he was just being aggressive or meant it, hence why he is guilty yet its also an accident and shell say he didnt let her get help because people coud realize what they was up to and Randys married with kids.

In that case, I'd say Randy is trying to take that 'The Freak' nickname he got at Marshall to another level. :o

Cowboys Offense-TM-Cowboys Jan. 16 - 5:10 pm et

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett will return to Dallas this week before deciding his future.

Garrett will convene with owner Jerry Jones and his family to weigh his options. Schefter says Garrett will be deciding whether to become head coach of the Ravens, the Falcons, or the future head coach in Dallas, though probably not in 2008. Schefter adds that if Garrett turns down the Atlanta job, Colts assistant head coach Jim Caldwell will be in play there.

Pacman Jones-DB-Titans Jan. 16 - 6:01 pm et

A woman who accused Pacman Jones of assault and battery in Las Vegas has dropped her claim.

The woman withdrew a complaint that Jones sucker punched her at a strip club on January 3. This is good news, but the NFL had told Pacman to stay away from strip joints entirely after his alleged involvement in a 2007 shooting.

I wonder how much she got?

I think I read on an ESPN report that Randy is married
