True, I mean most of these movies I havent cause there all kinda recent like in the last month or so....
Surf's Up over the Simpsons Movie? What the hell? And Norbit over Sweeney Todd for Best Makeup?![]()
Yay for Viggo....it's about time.
Of those three, only ZODIAC should have made it. AMERICAN GANGSTER and RESCUE DAWN were both good, but far from great.Completely ridiculous list.
No Zodiac?
No American Gangster?
No Rescue Dawn?
I am mad about Sweeney Todd not getting a BP nom, but I expected it. I just hope No Country doesn't win.
Why?I agree about Zodiac, but it needed to be released in October or so to be seen as a serious contender.
I've never understood that horse****. They give awards for the best movie of 2007 don't they? Not for the best movies from the 1st half of 2007? Why is that? Can ANYONE tell me?

And honestly... Atonement, Juno, and Michael Clayton have no place on that best picture list. So many films were light-years beyond this year.
No Country and There Will Be Blood are the only two serious choices, in my opinion. The other three are laughable.
So, between the two, I'd say No Country is going to win.
But above all.... F*** the Oscars.
because oscars dont matter?I've never understood that horse****. They give awards for the best movie of 2007 don't they? Not for the best movies from the 1st half of 2007? Why is that? Can ANYONE tell me?
Cool to see Juno get some nods and Clayton's love seems to have come from nowhere since it wasn't a movie that was raved about on any level.
My guesses in bold.
