El_Citrus, are you a student or alumnus?

Nah. Just grew up in WV and became a Mountaineer fan, since I never really found a pro team to latch on to.

And I honestly can't believe we're in this game. If we can keep pounding it up the middle with 32, we have a chance, even though I think the refs are trying to give this game to Cincy.

An MMA contest broke out at the WVU/Cincy game?

That was an IDIOTIC end to that drive. Why did they keep Sanders in there and not Devine or Clark for those runs, and then to go for it on 4th and 6?! USH!!!

And now Cincy just shredded their way into WVU territory. Great play calling, Bill.

The MMA thing sounds better.

Totally get that. That's why I'm such a big NC State fan, even though I went to WVU.

With about three and a half minutes left in the game and Cincy in the red zone, things aren't looking too good.

I don't want to blame this score on the overturned fumble/touchdown since in a way, you can kind of see that the ball is starting to break the plane while being jarred loose, but that call shouldn't have been turned into a touchdown, I don't think. Yeah, I'm biased, because then we would have kicked a field goal and be leading at the moment.

I wouldn't call that biased. That whole stadium of Cincy fans was shocked they got a touchdown out of the call. It was all the commentators could talk about at halftime.

It looked like the ball was breaking the plane, but the other angle also showed it was being jarred loose at the time, which really irks me that they considered that "indisputable" evidence.

Well, we put up a much better fight than I thought we would, but some bad calls and horrendous play calling cost us this game. I think it will be another season or two before Bill Stewart gets replaced.

Temple is up 56-17 and on it's way to 8-2.

...

Temple.

There's just something unsettling about that. They should have gotten kicked out of the Big East sooner.

It's gameday!!

TCU and Utah clash today, plus Iowa and the Buckeyes, and the south's oldest rivalry in Georgia/Auburn.

Notre Dame v Pitt as well....hoping Pitt pulls that one out and cooks Charlie Weiss' ass just a bit more

Even if Weis gets canned they will just replace him with a bigger name. I already hear Gruden rumblings there.

I'd be shocked if they didn't go after Brian Kelly. But I've been wrong before.

Watching Kansas vs. Nebraska and...

Mark Mangino looks like he could easily out-eat Jamarcus Russell

:o

I also heard rumblings on Rodriguez's security. He is probably 99% safe after this year since they are changing AD's there, but I'm suprised that they are pretty much giving him next year and next year alone to make a significant turnaround. Maybe they will land Les Miles afterall.

I think Rodriguez and Shannon only get one more year to turn in some bona fide results; with the emphasis on the latter coach.

Ugh.

ACC has just been terrible in recent years. Maybe its parity, or maybe its just a bunch of bad programs. Everyone stinks except Va. Tech considering the standards of those programs, and Ga. Tech is what it is. Its sad that the Big East is actually toe to toe with the ACC most of the other BCS conferences for that matter. I am thrilled because the Big East is my conference, but South Florida, Conneticut, etc. were not expected to be this good this soon. I hope Miami, Tech, and BC stay in the crapper for a long time because I will never forgive them for defecting.

Michigan could do worse than Les Miles, but I wonder if even after Rich Rod, could they do much better?

If they give Rich Rod timeto get things together and re-evaluate after Forcier's class are juniors, then I think other coaches won't get spooked. But if they pull the plug after Forcier's sophomore season (though Devin Gardner could see significant time next year as he learns the system), I think any coach worth anything is going to hesitate before taking a job at Meeeeeeeechigan. They've got to keep that in mind and not make a knee-jerk reaction. I also wonder how long all this goes away if they beat OSU to go bowl eligible, the hoops (I know, but it lifts spirits and goodwill toward the Ath. Dept.) team has a great season, and they land a decent recruiting class. (That is, of course, best case scenario)
