should still be a great game to watch...I don't think either team is going to sluff off due to the incompetence of the BCS

and that game will probably steal the BCS show

They played last year and it was good, but the cinderella aspect is gone now

Congratulations BCS, you have proven yourself to be just as incompetent, as corrupt, as bad for the sport as your most heated of critics have said you are.

Putting Boise State and TCU against each other in the Bowl is an insult to their entire season. Those kids deserved a chance at a "BCS" team to prove just how inane their system is. Instead they have to settle for playing for a bowl game that has instantly become completely irrelevant.

They should have pit Boise and TCU against Cincinatti and Florida. It doesn't matter who went where, but that was the obvious quality decision.

Of course you wouldn't want to have poor little WAC Boise State embarrass the Big East champion, proving their conference is every bit as good as they are. You wouldn't want to have another example of a Mountain West conference having success against a BCS conference.

This is the first time the BCS has actually hurt the sport of college football. Congratulations *******s.

Seriously Cincy/Boise and TCU/Florida would have been two great bowls

Cincy vs GT would have been a barn burner score wise, but I hope that Cincy whips the Florida Tebows and finish the season undefeated, even if they are a conference rival.

It won't be half the game it could be.

Yes, both teams will be pumped to try to win a Bowl game - but there won't be sparks like there were when Boise played Oklahoma.

The BCS could have made four great match-ups, in stead they created three games NO ONE should care about.

Cincinnati-Florida in the let down bowl (possibly without even the mildly interesting sub-plot of Urban Meyer vs. Diet Urban Meyer).

Boise State-TCU in the insult bowl.

Iowa-GT in the most unattractive matchup in modern BCS history bowl.

When the Rose Bowl is the most exciting BCS matchup, there is a real problem.

The Bureaucratic Championship Series prevails again.

Boise vs. TCU at the Fiesta Bowl.

Wow, really? I guess the BCS doesn't want to have another big conference embarassment like Utah/Bama last year on their hands, so they just put TCU/BS together and, consequently, under the rug so to speak where they're out of sight and out of mind.

Just one missed kick last night and we could have had potential BCS Chaos. Although I don't see TCU or Boise State causing an uproar about this or the rankings if they finish undefeated.

say all yall want about hating Texas but they still won. they played like **** and suh was just a beast. so you guys from Texas will be rooting for bama?

A definite YES, I'm an SEC girl all the way. I will route for the SEC team, no matter who they are...UNLESS they are playing against Tennessee, then I have to go with my Vols, but even with that, still going with the SEC.

yea...Iowa is interesting but I have never liked watching Georgia Tech....ever

Cincinatti can still put a dent in the BCS if they beat Fla and Texas gets blown out. Unlikely but possible. I guess they figured Cincinatti is a tough sell as far as fans from a smaller school making the trip out to Tempe. TCU is an easier commute. They could have also put Iowa/Boise St, but that's obviously the worst of all possible matchups IMO. If Nebraska had won, we would have gotten an even ****tier Fiesta Bowl and the other bowls would not have been much better.

It's no wonder ESPN won the rights to broadcast the BCS back from Fox. those are awful announce teams.

yay...UConn is in the Pizza Bowl with South Carolina....

I think the only way a team like a TCU or a Boise State gets into the national champioship game is if they go into one of these big teams stadiums, be it Austin, Gainesville, etc and throws a beating to one of these SEC teams

the BCS is kinda like the Oscars, its basically to the point where you have to eat **** for a long time and once the Academy makes its own silly determination that you've eaten enough **** and been nominated enough times you get one

Excellent question. I've been wondering the same thing for years.

Bowl Tie-Ins... they are locked into the ACC/Big East every year. Although there was that year they had the Carson Palmer led Trojans against Iowa, Big 10/Pac 10 oddly enough... probably because Miami went to the title game from the Big East. I forget exactly.
