What the F is with TCU's helmets? It looks like a black base faded into a marblized effect in the back.

This game is boring as hell.

And Fox's coverage is still horrid.."This punt returner can really, really return the punts"

Thanks man, the viewers would be lost without your commentary.

What a stinker. TCU was awful. They essentially lost on a pick 6 and a fake punt. Pathetic.

The establishment had to love this tonight.

I wish Fox had more college football games, they do a much better job at broadcasting than ABC/ESPN.

Rosen and Ryan were great....I used to not like Tim Ryan at all and he has really turned it around...Sam Rosen has always been great

Fox's coverage sucks ass.

Well..just about all of em suck, since they'll let anyone be a broadcaster these days..but Fox is horrible.

This is Fox's last year for the BCS Bowl Games.

Also three new bowls next year: The Cure Bowl in Orlando, The Dallas Football Classic in Dallas and The Yankee Bowl in New York.

it's only a matter of time before all 120 FBS teams go to bowl games.

Cripes. I remember when bowl games were looked at as rewards for a good season. Now, they're practically a matter of fact follow up on the season and just a transparent tool of revenue generation. "Hooray! We're 6-6!"

Just give everyone the extra weeks of practice and a goodie bag and scale back some of this nonsense.

Soon they'll be letting 2-10 teams get a bowl.

Boise ready for the big dance... http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news?slug=dw-boisestate010410&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

Boise State linebacker Derrell Acrey took a moment from the postgame fiesta and declared that one day his Broncos weren’t going to play in just any BCS bowl. They were going to play in the BCS bowl.

The one for the crystal football.

“Sooner or later it’s coming,” Acrey said. “One of these days … one of these days.”

I hope so, but I wonder if the BCS will ever man up and let it happen.

Tim Ryan is great. His NFL Radio show with Pat Kirwin is the best Pro Football show on any medium.

Fox's camera work is top notch. I love the fact they give the Band's screen time.

I wish they would just move the Capital One Bowl and the Champs Sports Bowl to UCF's stadium and forget The Bowl for a Cure (A Breast Cancer Bowl).

The question I have is...who loses by having more bowls?

Seems to me it's a victimless crime. It gives low level college football teams the chance to end their seasons on a higher note, provides revenue for the schools, gives each respective fan base something to go to and provides more football to watch.

If you aren't interested in Florida Atlantic playing Rice, don't watch.

They may have a hard time stopping it.

If Boise goes undefeated next year, sweeping Virginia Tech and Oregon State, and walks into the Post Season 23-0 - it would be REALLY hard to keep them out.

Also, when you take into consideration that Boise State will likely end this year ranked 3rd or 4th, return 20 starters and now have 2 BCS Bowl Titles in 4 years - they are going to have to in the top 5 next year to start the season.

Also, this year was bad for Boise because we had 5 undefeated teams. That likely won't happen again next year.

I would hope so. But if there's one thing I've learned about the BCS, it's if there's a way to maintain injustice, they will always find it.

I don't watch. Even if I did, it'd still have nothing to do with my opinion that most of these games are needless, perpetuated by nonsensical reasoning that has nothing to do with their actual purpose.

Too true.

Technically the only bowl game that isn't needless is the National Championship game.

What's the purpose of the Fiesta Bowl? To pit two college football team into an interesting match up so that football fans can watch and enjoy (while the Schools and Bowl Sponsors make millions).

Whats the purpose of the Yankee Bowl? To pit two college football teams against each other in an interesting match up so that football fans can watch and enjoy (while the Schools and Bowl Sponsors make millions).

No, their purpose is that of all bowl games; to further foster the spirit of good sportsmanship and healthy athletic competition. Money is no concern. This is simply a way to get these fine, focused student-athletes a venue to display their talents. It's a well-deserved and befitting reward to those teams that yield magnificent seasons. :barf:

It's a furtherance of the sham that it college football's postseason and it chafes my Hanes to see it perpetuated.

Other than being subjected to the continued bile of the involved politics, no, it's not 'hurting' anyone. However, that does nothing to settle my stomach. Just add another 20 or so bowl games and be done with it. 3-8? Hey, come play in the QWERTY/Home Base Keys Bowl.
