A gold medal, a college championship(which Lebron never has), La La Vasquez, and other things that I don't know about it. :o

hes the clutchest player in the game...By stats and by general media. He's just not gone as far in his pro career yet

Because Melo wasn't good enough to come straight out of high school.:o:o:o:o

Knocked out in the first round in 8 out of 9 years and you want to cite him as a winner (and try to take a shot at LeBron) because of something he did in college, nearly 10 years ago. That's just precious. :funny:

This might be worse than when you called the then-recently NY signed Chris Duhon a great PG in the NBA because he was good in college.

...

Nah, that was still worse.

Chris Duhon? You mean the guy who's minutes were cut last season by Ish Smith?

Indeed. It was hysterical. Homerism at its finest.

You also held a college championship in Carmelo's favor over LeBron's head when he never had the opportunity to even compete for a college title.

I don't remember saying that. Plus Melo played in the west and we all know for years how tough the west was. It wasn't until he got a team around him that he won.

PS- Lebron never won a NCAA championship and no amount of insults will change that fact. :o

Won what? A series?:huh::o

Take a trip down Memory Lane to where Chris Duhon was a proven leader and a great signing at the full MLE.

Apparently, tough enough to land him the worst winning percentage in league history of anyone to have 50 playoff games. Good thing that's all countered by a collegiate title and gold medal. "Winner." :funny:

Haters are getting desperate. :lmao:

I don't about everyone else, but I don't think he's being serious.... Hmm. Or maybe someone hacked his account to spew out these shenanigans.

Carmelo won something like 15 playoff games as a Nugget, and only 1 so far as a Knick. I don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Melo has gotten a pass all these years because people focused on Lebron but now it's time to unleash on Melo the same way people did on Lebron. To the outrageous MJ did it by himself claims to analyzing if psychologically he can do it etc.

I think Melo saw this coming since he made those comments after LeBron won about "his time will come." I think people were trying to say Durant would be the one with the monkey on his shoulder after James won, no, it's Melo. Durant is doing just fine. For now.. :oldrazz:

Low blow man. Low blow. :csad:

Carmelo never, ever, had the same expectations of Lebron, the comparison doesn't even make sense. In fact, I think all the media crap about "getting it done" will fall directly on Durant's lap way before Melo's, as KD is already pegged as Lebron's main nemesis for the rest of his career. Personally I do think Melo is underrated in some ways, that season he took Denver to the WCF wasn't all that long ago.

Thank you. The Melo hate is getting beyond ridiculous. First the Lin haters are blaming him for their one hit wonder for leaving, now he's just getting killed even though he's one of the top players in the league. I think he and Durant are neck and neck when it comes to scoring and despite what people say, I say Melo's defense may even be better than Durant's even though you hardly ever hear anyone mention Durant and defense in the same sentence.

Because those expectations were put on Lebron allowing Melo to hide in the shadows, not anymore. KD will get some of the pressure but ultimately, he'll get a pass for a few years on the basis of being younger.

He's only 4 years younger than Melo. Plus Melo did win in college, something Durant didn't do. Oh yeah! I went there. :o

To be fair, I don't think anyone had the same expectations as Lebron, simply because there was so much hype around Lebron as "the second coming of Jordan" that went back to before he even finished high school. I don't know what kind of hype was around Kobe or other straight out of high school players, but to be dubbed as "King" before you even played a professional game, you can already tell that people expect you to dominate in a way that only the elite can.

To be fair, his name actually means King....so....blame his momma. :o

I think those expectations are put on the star the media deems as "the next one."

Lebron was heralded well before Carmelo, High school games on ESPN, the whole nine. The only pressure Melo feels now comes from playing in New York, but at no time in his career was he viewed as equal to Lebron, or Durant now, in terms of being the standard bearer for the whole league.

Had Melo stayed in Denver, I doubt anyone would've batted an eyelash if he ever got out the first round again or not. It's part of him being underrated that makes that statement true, because he absolutely should be held to that standard based on his talent. But because he's always been viewed as a second-tier star, he wasn't. With Lebron winning, that pressure falls squarely on the player pegged as number two, who's already made it to the Finals and has the tools around him to get it done. Kevin Durant.

So I heard that Dwight Howard narrowed his choices down to the Lakers, Nets, the 96 Olympic team, the Monstars, or Wesley Snipes team on White Men Can't Jump.

Dwight will be changing his mind again by next week.
