For a defensive struggle, this game sure is taking a hell of a long time. Cable guide says it was supposed to be over right now, but there are still 9 minutes left. Crazy.

Agreed. That's knee was one of the few good things for them this game.

That seems dangerous if they give the Giants to much time. Would it not be safer to tie it & have Defense step it up ?

Why not take the lead and have the D step up? Seems a lot smarter.

Defensive struggles usually do take a bit longer. Long offensive drives kill the clock. Constant punts keep it stopped (and lead to lots of TV time outs when there are changes of possession).

This is the playoffs. You gotta want it. OT benefits the Giants more.

Alex Smith is the luckiest guy in football. His defense, running game and special teams give him great field position and opportunities that are creating the illusion of him being competent.
