What a game! I am still hoping the 49ers will pull this one out. Anyone's game right now.

Alex Smith is the luckiest guy in football. His defense, running game and special teams give him great field position and opportunities that are creating the illusion of him being competent. :funny:

I agree Smith isn't great, but he has a better overall team around him than Eli does, IMO. Which is why I picked the 49ers in the game, and still feel they will win. Don't always have to be the better QB to win.

And, Alex Smith shows us one area he beats Eli!

He's due for it after all those years of sucktitude. Better lucky than good.

Maybe, but Smith doesn't deserve to be in a Super bowl. 7-15 with 149 yards? Once again, his team is playing in spite of him. Which says a hell of a lot about Harbaugh.

Niners really driving hard now. See if they can get into the endzone

Last time I checked football was a team sport.

I agree, but why I like this team is they are more old fashioned football. Good defense and rushing! Not like these teams who chuck it 100 times a game. He does what this team needs him to do. All he has to do.

Well, here comes the tying field goal now. Jeez, Niners set up with solid field position...drive down there but then run some of the most ODD plays ever.

Giants got lucky it was only 3 on that SF drive.

Umm....ok?

He by himself may not "deserve" to be in the Super Bowl but if they win this game, the team certainly does. Like it or not, he's part of the team. The Alex Smith hate is astounding.

Good run by Smith. Harbaugh didn't get his timeout lol. Possible overtime?

Yeah, but with a proper quarterback, they would be the best team in the NFL. Smith is holding them back from really being mind blowingly good. Of course, they don't need to be the best team in football. Just the best team for three games. Such is the beauty of NFL playoffs.

Tebow didn't deserve to be in the plays, nor should the Giants and by your logic the Ravens shouldn't have either because Flacco was the most inconsistent QB in the league. Yet, these things happen. Smith was so clutch last week and went blow for blow with Drew Brees. He's been getting the job done all year, I'd love to see him in the big game.

Then what the **** is your problem?:cmad::huh:
