The hit on Dalton as well...

I can't comment on a Polamalu hit that I haven't seen... Did he sling him 'round and never grab anything other than the head as well?

I think he's a damn good defensive player... when he plays clean I have no issues with him.

And it's not "No ones defended that". You've defended that. Those hits to the head have been the only issue with him that I have and you've been defending him on them, because I never mentioned anything else regarding him. You did attempt to drag up the strawman of claiming that I somehow approve of the changes to the rules than tie the hands of the defensive players but I stayed on the argumen I had from the first post.

Only issue I have with him is his decision to try and tear people's f***ing heads off...

Honestly, I'd like it if they treated the QBs with no more protection than a guy kicking the ball in rugby gets (i.e. if you're already committed to the tackle there's no issue with it) but I know why the NFL doesn't go with that interpretation...

because high scoring games get better ratings and therefore higher revenue

I don't complain about refs but this is just ****ing bs. These refs are just horrible in this Saints game.

I feel for you Matt....an incompetently run football team and a baseball team where ownership just doesn't care

Come on now, the Pirates were phenomenal this year up until a few months ago when they started to slide. They'll be fantastic next year and I'm calling it that they win their division. But yeah the Steelers suck woo go Vikings.

Well probably that too... But also I was thinking of escalation. Guys pushing the envelope and the inevitable public outcry of the inevitable injury that occurred on the play where a guy has pushed the envelope and hit late.

Doesn't really happen in rugby because guys aren't legitimately trying to break guys out of the game... but it's not really the same attitude in American football.

Damn, never knew you were delusional. 'You stuck to your point'? Don't mean to crowd you inside the box but so have I; Suh isn't dirty. I've explained it as many ways as I know how without breaking out the construction paper & crayons & drawing you a diagram. Unfortunately, you seem dead set on trying to label Suh dirty when all he does is play good hard defense.

As a matter of fact, you're trying to use what, 2 instances as grounds to call him dirty, which is honestly, pretty f'n stupid. Oh, I'm sorry you haven't seen the Troy play where he did the same thing you're trying to crucify Suh for, heat of the moment, guy getting past you, reaching out and dragging him by his neck area. Again, he's not dirty for making a mistake & neither is Suh.

I've stuck with my original point, & if ending my last mini novel with 'Suh is not a dirty player' didn't illustrate that effectively, then I'm wasting my time arguing the point with you.

Man, Cam Newton just juked the shiz outta the Packers D and picked up like 11 yards. He's making them look bad, especially with that bomb he just threw to Smith and NOW to Olsen just shy of another TD & a 17 / 0 against the Packers.

Damn, they look pretty f'n bad.

people are underestimating Cam Newton

and they will continue to do so even if he blows the doors off the Packers because the standard for black QBs is different

And to think I wanted Moore back as starter...true, I think he can be good in league, but Cam is like Vick..except bigger and a passer.

Man the Bucs have no answer for Adrian right now

Did I just see Jamaal Charles get carted off the field?

Well that's f'n terrible, Berry & then Charles the next week?

If Smith catch that pass from Newton, it 1st in Goal, if not TD

Dameyune Craig has the all time pro football record of passing yards in a game. 611 yards. And he's black. But do people mention it, his record? No, cause he did it in NFL Europe.

lol, I rolled the footage back, at first I thought the Lions mascot had caused the injury to Charles but it looked like he was already injured prior to that.

Never a good sign when he can't even stand.

Less color & more to do with the fact it's NFL Europe.

Delusional, in what way?
Your first post here was distracting from the issue suggesting I'm in favour of coddling the QBs. I'm not. I just think they're as entitled to keep their heads as every other player on the field is...
He's made a habit of hitting around the head, facemasking and well... pretty much tearing people's f***ing heads off.

No, I've used two emphatic instances where my point is clear to see.

That's what an example is. A clear instnce which demonstrates your point. Do you seriously expect me to go back over his entire career and show every dirty play he's ever been a part of? I think the examples I've given are enough to show what I'm talking about.

My comment regarding Troy was that I haven't seen it to know how good a comparison it makes to the Delhomme incident. I can't comment on what I haven't seen.

A dirty or negligent incident does not make a dirty player... A histroy and tendency to play dirty makes a dirty player.

I still don't view the Delhomme incident as ccidental negligence, I view it as malicious intent. You don't go from the facemask to grappling the guy's f***ing head and slinging him away like that from an accidental facemask.
I've stuck with my original point, & if ending my last mini novel with 'Suh is not a dirty player' didn't illustrate that effectively, then I'm wasting my time arguing the point with you.
I could post Moby Dick and end it with "Suh is a dirty player" and it wouldn't constitute a decent rational argumet either...
