Honestly wouldn't underestimate the lengths Kojima would go to at this point. No news of publisher hiring new Swedish studio for AAA game in recent months as there always is.

That was such a weird thing. I was expecting a new Souls game next year, but a direct sequel, with a CG trailer on the VGAs? The last way I expected DSII to be announced.

I spent the first 20 seconds thinking "Skyrim DLC? Ugh."

Then it sort of clicked that it was definitely Dark Souls II.

Yes. It's not told in traditional cinematic methods though.
