i wonder if zod's gonna make the president kneel at his feet ..
maybe he'll just make him go quail hunting with vice president

Clark will get help from a mysterious, beautiful (of course)woman named Raya, who at first captures him and interogates him in the Zone. Turns out she was Jor-El's assistant and was placed in the Zone by Zod. Eventually she helps Clark escape the Zone and gives him a crystal to help him defeat Zod/Lex.

I think i have an idea of how she's going to do that. Remeber in the Supergirl movie where she got stuck in the Phantom Zone. Well, she got out because of the vortex at the top of some mountain i can't remember what it was called. Wait now i know. The Quantum Vortex

theorizing that one could travel between phantom zones within his own lifetime Kal-El of Krypton traveled to the Quantum Vortex and vanished. he awoke to find himself trapped in the past, and facing mirror images that werent his own. his only guide on this journey was Jor-el, a hologram from krypton memory that only kal el could see and hear. now kal el leaps from phantom zone to zone, striving to put what right what might go wrong, each time hoping that his next leap, will be the leap home.

You almost had me there. :D

I'll reserve my judgement of the premiere until it comes out.

I had high hopes for Season 5 Arrival, only to have them not be met :(.

when did you become such a rain-on-my-parade kind of guy?

I'd say after season 5 finale.

And now that i'm not kissing everyone's ass, i'm a "rain-on-my-parade kind of guy", ey?

I like those kind of guys.;)

I'm still not sure if I'm even gonna watch it. I barely watched the last arc. After Reckoning what was the point really. And none of the spoilers nor anything DeKnight has said up until now make me want to watch. They will continue doing what I absolutely dislike about this show...just full force now.

nah just some playful banter. i think there is probably a contingent of loyal sv fans who were slightly disappointed with the lex/zod computer virus finale.

on the plus side, ck did end up in the phantom zone.

Hopefully we'll also find out if Lex does have some telekinetic powers that "pushed" clark into the PZ.

But seriously, season 4 premiere was excellent... top notch... season 5 premiere... not so much.

i'll just go into season 6 premiere with no expectations.

That might make it better for you, because having little to no expectations will give you a better chance of not being let down.

The only time I've gone into a Smallville episode with set expectations and been disappointed was the episode Lucy, and not because of the story, I was just expecting more of the Chloe/Clark storyline to unfold.

I have honestly enjoyed, if not all aspects, every episode that I sit down to watch on a Thursday night.

Personally I'm with you Avid...but you know that.

I was just making sure that boyscout knew that I understood where he was coming from.:)

the only episode i was really disappointed with was recknining...do writer not know that "time crystals" are cheap deaus ex machinas or do they just not care?

i wouldn't have minded the crystals if lana ended up knowing clark's secrets.

but using the crystals and justifying not telling lana by the fact that she'll die (especially now, mid-way through season 5.... i mean come ON!!), is not acceptable to me.

other than that the episode was great.

hey atleast for once Chloe wasnt the Deus Ex Machina

heh, I find this pretty funny, since without her Batman skills of detection, Clark would be lost.:O :D

Seriously though, doesn't bother me too much...I loves me some Chloe.
I had a hard time in S4 when she really wasn't in it all that much.

I'm sorry, that's the dumbest thing I've ever read.

Lower your expectations, so that when the subpar premier inevitably comes along, you are not dissappointed. That's a terrible use of reverse psychology.

I say:

Raise your expectations, so that when they, them, the writers and producers let you (plural) down, you create such a stink, that they can do nothing, but make the show live up to your standards.
