For the hand crush to work in the premiere, he...kinda needs his powers, yes?

I wonder if this falls closely to that shot we say way back when of that beam of golden light hitting Clark in the field.

I'm wondering how this is gonna work out...cuz they say that when he discovers his Super-Breath in the second ep, he's still only getting his powers back.

For the hand crush to work in the premiere, he...kinda needs his powers, yes?

I wonder if this falls closely to that shot we say way back when of that beam of golden light hitting Clark in the field.

I don't really see how he's going to do a hand crush either. Maybe he'll just try real hard.
I think.. that this might be the beginning of that fight we saw in the earlier trailer where Zod throws Clark onto that big rock. Clark didn't seem to have much in the way of powers to fight back.

Maybe it's a brief re-gaining of powers. Just enough time for Clark to crush Zod's hand, play the exorcist and save Lex, and then...I dunno, hit his head on a rock or some mauve kryptonite, or get hit by a random crashing vehicle, thus making him powerless again...until some point in the second ep.

I finally work my way back to the boards after my hiatus after SR. I mean hey there is only so much you can post ya know. But now that smallville is getting ready to be back in full swing i couldnt stay away. I wish my b-day was on the 28th instead of the 23rd. Ah well im still excited, and now that i have finally come out of the dark ages and allow myself to get dvr i wont miss and episode. Wonderful. I hope everyone has been doing well in my absense.

My only complaint is why doesn't Zod just seek to kill Kal-El. Obviously if he's smart enought to escape the Phantom Zone then he's capable of defeating you.

Wouldn't he think that he's not dealing with an ordinary Kryptonian???

Does it actually say he's still regaining his powers? I thought it went that he was sneezing and he thought he had a cold.

I think the hand crushing comes last. As Clark takes Zod's hand he will put that \S/ medallion in it and that will zap Zod back to the PZ.

edit. Okay, I just read the spoilers in the Sneeze thread about not having powers when he returns. Interesting....

I don't think he intends to crush his hand though I believe that's what they want us to think. I do believe that what's gonna happen is this:

Clark kneels before Zod and holds his hand so he can put the Superman symbol in it. Remember in the trailer, it's in Zod's hand. I'm betting whatever that pendant is, it will be the beginning of the end for Zod.

If i can remember correctly, they used it at the end of the season where Clark rides off to metropolis on a motorcycle, then they FAINTLY use it every now and then in some episodes. They used it when the FOS was built at season 5 premiere (not exactly the superman theme but some John Williams score) and you can faintly hear the superman theme towards the end of season 4 when clark loses his memory. After he realizes he has super-speed and ends up in a cow field.

Anytime after that...I dont think they ever used it in season 5 except for the premiere. But I'm sure when he starts doing supermany things that reference the movies, we'll hear it t:
