First Martian Manhunter, then Zod he hardly even beat... he didn't PWN ZOD at all as ridiculously someone said earlier. He used trickery, while LexZod was kicking his ass, throwing him around the place.

What I absolutely HATE about this show is how Clark is NEVER BLOODY ALLOWED TO ****ING CUT LOOSE... It's the same problem that plagued Justice League cartoon series and the Superman animated series... he always gets his ass kicked, he hardly gets to literally lay down the villain in a good bout of fisticuffs.

Clark stands around all the damn time only to take a beating... he has never categorically, equivocally kicked the ass of any zoner at all... at least Buffy and Angel have trashed their enemies at some point in a series.

This is NOT the Spirit... this is Smallville about future Superman... allow him to actually beat the crap out of a zoner once in a while...

Well this zoner, is a master fighter[plus a killer], and much older and more expereinced the clark, whos not exactly Bruce Lee by the way.

Aren't they vastly different compared to Clark though? But I do see your point. Clark isn't very proactive in the fights he gets involved in. He's reactive and that alone shows off his weaknesses.

Where do you see Clark getting saved? First watch, then we'll see.

It's nice Clark fights someone that gives him a run for his money...since most of his villains are five second dispatches.

With Zod...do you really think that Clark at this age and experience can defeat a man who destroyed a world and led an army? If they had Clark beat the snot out of him, I would have been upset, this way when Zod returns later in life, Clark can beat him the old fashioned way. Plus he was worried about hurting his friend whom Zod was inside.

Plus like Eros said, this zoner is a trained killer from another galaxy, why should Clark be able to just whoop up on him? I'm sure Clark will get his licks in.

Plus, why does everyone always bring in Buffy? They are two different shows, different premises....why compare them? If you enjoy Buffy (I didn't, I thought the show was near unwatchable) then so be it, but keep the Buffy comparisons elsewhere.

I never realized that many people liked the show. I always thought the idea of a show based off of a corny movie released in the early 90's starring Luke Perry wouldn't garner such a following. I guess some people like that kind of stuff.

You know, if it were too easy for him to beat up the zoner, that would probably be really boring.

We're only seeing the first part of the fight, and probably a very rough cut of it at that, in the clip on Yahoo.

I'd say wait to see the fight before you assume he's not going to give as good as he gets... DeKnight said in his blog that there'd be a good fight.

Yeah, it's beautiful he gets totally beat up. The fight will be exciting, I'm sure because of that. It won't be an easy win for him.
