6.17 Combat - Discussion Thread (spoilers)

I'm just glad it wasn't the other way round! Tom's beautiful face! :wow: :csad:
Hah! No doubt. That would have put a damper on production that day, huh? LOL ;)

Wait... what? Clark reveals his powers? To who? Um... wouldn't that be a problem?
I'm guessing he had to show some kind of "ability" in order to be allowed to fight Titan.

Even better. as Lt. Worf would say.

"I am in your debt"
No prob. Love her bod, and I say that in the most hetero way possible. :D

I would have like it better if Kane was named Mongul cause he looks like that comic book character

There is also a Kane video interview on KTLA. Dunno if he says anything new since I haven't followed the promotion done for this episode much.

Kane shouldn't give up his dayjob for a shot at making it big on the comedy club circuit.

He tries too hard to be funny.

Thanks for the tip, however.

Nothing new in the video, just parts of the director's cut scenes. Too bad.

W00t! It's 'Combat' time. lol. I'm in full on cheesy mode for this ep. It looks like it'll be fun. :)

But comedy is his dayjob.:oldrazz:
Hah! Exactly.

Kane should have played it like those "mock" interviews they do between wrestlers for upcoming matches. Better yet, if the producers were *really* on their toes, they would have shot something during the episode's production with Welling there - ad-libbing in character. How funny would THAT have been? What a loss. All that great cheese, down the drain. LOLOL!!

Guess they're just too darn serious. Even Kane was beyond laid back in that interview, though I give him props for knowing and naming the superdude his character had to fight. *cough*

i only saw promise on monday!(hiatus made me forget!:cmad: )
can't have too much smallville though. Kind of worried about the wrestlers though especially after a great episode last week

Moon River,
Wider than a mile,
I'm crossin' you in style
Some day.

If anyone can figure out what that has in common with something else that has been discussed on this board this week, you're as a big a "useless trivia" person as me. :woot:

LOL. I miss the old days when Mean Gene would interview the wrestlers. Those were always hilarious.

Breakfast at Tiffany's? LOL

Not sure how that fits with Combat, but there may be something to the comparison in general. Synop from Wiki:

The main plot of the movie is Holly's relationship with neighbor Paul, who has confidence problems of his own. The story explores the relationship between Holly and Paul, Holly and her other paramours, and the resolution that occurs within Holly's own mind and between Holly and Paul. The film includes Audrey Hepburn singing the original performance of "Moon River" and the famous closing sequence that shows Paul's "lecture" to Holly and Holly's self-discovery of who she really is and who makes her truly happy. The film ends with a famous scene in the rain.

I just read that this episode doesnt air in Chicago until Saturday night. Did you Chicagoians or is Chicagoites, know that?

Hope none of you live in Chicago 'cause Smallville and Supernatural are being pre-empted for the Bulls game and won't be shown until Saturday night.
