Cool. I was hoping this argument would've died several posts ago when you ended with "End of story." But whatever. You got the last word. Congratulations.

Good? Good.

Apperently you haven't been reading. It's been a big one-upathon for like 2 pages now.

I moved on. Someone brings it up. It gets moved on, and then someone else brings it up.

anyway...I'm thinking of making it to MI:4 in IMAX for my birthday, if anyone here has seen it. Are the Imax sequences really that spectacular that it's worth the extra money and hassle to go 2 hours to the IMAX theater?

Would anyone else care to end the argument? Because I shot it in the face, and it keeps coming back to life.

I am.

Tell me how Brad Birdish exactly is the film? You previously mentioned Incredibles?

Well, the spy stuff is very Birdy. I mean, he applies the same level of tension as he did with the scene where Elastigirl is sneaking behind the guards....and the level of comedy that comes with that tension.

The opening credits also feel very animated. Easily the best in the series.

Also, the action is fast, and fluid. Brad knows how to do action. Every punch, or hit, has a domino effect.

Ethan punches a guy, he hits another, that guy gets pissed, tries to punch Ethan, Ethan ducks, hits another guy, who goes flying, Ethan punches THAT guy, he knocks through a door where Cops are coming up...

Things like that. :D

Did they really repeat the tail end exploding twice? I'll have to go back and watch that.

Oh dear.

Anyway, this has a better musical score then MI3 did. Mike out did himself.

Film4Life - you may want to remove that, it was bootlegged footage in it.

Here...hold on.

BAD EDITING.

Come here for a minute.

*Grabs BAD EDITING by the hair*

*Points a .45 longshot with laser sighting to it's temple*

Any last words?

Yeah...THE EDITING SU-

BANG.

Alright. We're good.

There now you can stop bringing it up.

Just got back from Mission Impossible in IMAX. MI was some great fun (Dubai scene was fantastic).

But the prologue?

*passes out*

The fact that you hafto go back and watch it again to notice...means it's not really that big of a deal.

There's A LOT of comedy in M:I4. I was actually very surprised by it, since it comes off pretty serious in the opening and then goes naturally into comedy when Cruise has his entrance. It has the levity of The Incredibles and is very kinetic while being very light.

Batman fans should see Mission Impossible for the gadgets alone. Some of the most creative and inventive things I've seen in an action film in a long time. And no offense to the community, but Brad Bird can shoot action a whole lot better than Mr. Nolan.

Ghost Protocol is absolutely one of the most entertaining movies of the year, if not the past couple years. The opening credits did something I've never seen before, something that shouldn't work on paper, but does anyway. "Light the fuse."

If Warner Brothers and DC had any sense, they would throw money at Brad Bird to direct one of their properties next.

He's a better live action director then my favorite action director. :D

I won't say his name, because that debate will be far more tired then the last. :hehe:

Brad Bird is going to rule the live action genre.

And yes, the opening credits were astounding.
