The Dark Knight Rises 6 Minutes of TDKR footage attached to Mission Impossible 4! - - - - Part 13

Those are motion pictures, films are supposed to be art.

Wrong. They're supposed to be entertainment. That CAN be art. But they don't have too.

But what he did make was crap. :oldrazz::cwink:

Kinda. I still think it's a cool movie. I have to force myself not to think in anyway, because it hurts too much. The logic in that film is absurd. :cmad:

never got on here to say this but HOLY CRAP! When I saw the IMAX prologue on Saturday with MI4 I was just not prepared for what it actually looked like! This thing was epic...and what stood out to me the most was the music! This was a suspenseful scene and Bane was a creep! One comparison I haven't heard if you want to know what he really sounds like...JEREMY IRONS in Die Hard With A Vengeance except with a mask on...which made him sound more like Mr. Freeze from Batman TAS.

Fired? Laid off?

Sorry, man. :csad: Keep your head up!

I'd just started stocking at a grocery store (hey, it's something) and 3 weeks later, despite never being late or missing a day and doing everything they asked of me, they decided to get rid of me and would only tell me "It's just not working out."

The manager that actually interacts with the employees was genuinely surprised they fired me when my Grandmother visited the store, he said I was a good person and that they needed guys like me. But the other manager needed to cut some fat I guess and didn't care where he cut. I'd been helping to set up the store before opening, so appearance didn't matter. The day the store opens the manager that fired me told me I needed tan khakis, a haircut, and a shave... I complied and the next day was my last one.

But that's behind me now. The trailer cheered me up quite a bit! :awesome:

Spot on.

does anyone know if the prologue is gonna be released online? sorry, if this has been asked.

I used to think the only reason to go see MI:4 would be the "Rises" proloque; which I would've, based on that alone!... But I'm hearing a hell of a lot of buzz about Cruise's latest impossible mission!... So I checked rottentomatoes.com, just for the hell of it. Ratings on tomato-meter are:

1: Mission Impossible = 61%

2: MI:2 = 57% (Understandable! It dragged waaay to much. Just boring)

3: MI:3 = 70% (Yup. Pretty damn cool and a huge step up from last one)

4: MI:4 = 95 ****ING %!!! (W_T_F!? a DAMN huge leap from its predecessors!?!)

Didn't mean to change the subject like that, but it was pretty shocking hehe.

as long as it's up hill :-)

Interviewer:
"So, Mr. Nolan. Now that you've won the 'Best Picture' category with The Dark Knight Rises; what's next?"

Nolan:
"I'm going to Disney World!.... And then I'll direct MI:5, giving that **** and Oscar as well!"

I think Mission Impossible 4 was the best in the series. I'm glad it's getting the recognition.

It's interesting to see a sequel that is far better than it's predecessors. Especially a third sequel. Doesn't happen often. Star Trek IV: Voyage Home is only one that one that comes to mind at this moment

I've never seen any of these movies and never will. Cannot stand Tom Cruise. I find him irksome in just about everything and I refuse to watch his movies, except for Eyes Wide Shut, because my love for Kubrick out-weighs my hatred for Cruise. Also Last Samurai, because my love for the Japanese and Japanese things out-weighs my hatred for Cruise.
Or should I say out-heights, lol, you get the point. For me the nail in the cruise coffin was that homoerotic fighter pilot movie, oh, the name fails me.

Anyway whatever. Regardless it's good to see something that deserves success receive it.

All this talk about the CIA agent made me google him lol.

I completely forgot that Adian Gillen was the main character in the UK version of Queer as folk (yum) but I didn't realize that he was playing in Game of thrones LOL stupid me.

That's all :p

Well yeah, MI:4 is pretty damn great.

Keep in mind about Rottentomatoes, you can't just go by the percentage. You have to look at the actual scores too.

MI:4 was excellent! Brad Bird's approach to the series has given it a new and unique feel. Very stylized. Not to mention fun and smart.

Couple that with a prologue that sent shivers down my spine. It must be seen in IMAX!

I find it incredibly funny and awesome I'll be hopping borders 2 hrs away in Canada just to see it.

:funny:

The thing about Rotten Tomatoes is that it basically judges a film's "likeability." If a lot of people like it even just a little bit, it gets a high score. For actual quality, Metacritic is a lot more accurate. M:I4 has a 74% there, which I think is fair.

To bring this back to TDK (which is more related to TDKR :funny: ), I was IMMENSELY surprised that it got such a great reception on Rotten Tomatoes. It's a very downer of a film, and I didn't think that many people would "like" it. A few people would love it sure, but I was sure a lot of people would not like it because of how depressing it is and how it's such an ordeal to watch.

2011 hasn't been the greatest year for movies in general.

Next year is where it's at. So many movies to look forward to.

I don't know what year you lived it, but it's been one of the best.

Thor
Captain America
Drive Angry (damn right!)
Rango
Limitless
Paul
Super
The King's Speech
Hanna
X-Men First Class
Transformers 3 (sue me)
Rise of the Apes
Fright Night
The Rum Diary
Immortals
and finally, IMO the best...

Super 8.

But maybe it's just me. I loved this year.

TDK isn't an ordeal to watch....it's not even that depressing. The ending is pretty uplifting.
