hey maybe the box lionel left for clark is the same BOX for the traveler!!!

^^^ watc it on TV

specailly smallville doesn't have episode like this quite often

nonsense: why would you even think about dealing with commercial breaks, when his version won't have any commercials.

hey maybe the box lionel left for clark is the same BOX for the traveler!!!

why is it, that this is the second attempted answer at my question, and this is as pointless as the first.

Of course the box that lionel is holding is the box meant for the traveller. This is understood immediately. What is IN the box, other than the vague description of what ever is in it, can control the traveller? Anybody have any clues, other than what the show has delivered?

I bet it's the Seigel half to the superman rights l0l. Obviously when Clark gets his hands on it, it will allow him to forge his own destiny, that much is obvious. But Lex has to get it first, so that Clark's scoobies can have some of the action, freeing Clark's brain from Lex's control, as well as to show what the danger of Lex having the box truely is.

Chloe has been the best of the secondary 'peer' characters for a long long time.

That's a matter of opinion, I've found her to be annoying from the very Get-Go . Not to mention I'm sick of her being the one to give Clark Guidance that job should've gone to Jonathan & Martha Kent and Jor-EL & Lara . Over the past 3 years Clark's been way to dependent on Chole's help, advice, etc .... It's hard to imagen this Clark Kent will one day become A Great Investagative Reporter for The Daily Planet one day & The World's Greatest Hero without Chloe around to support him . How will he ever survive ? :o:whatever:

I hope Lex kills her off in season 8

After watching the episode few minutes ago, I have to say I was impressed. Much better than anything we've seen this season.

A dark, yet gripping episode, solidifying Lex's destiny as Clark's enemy and the villain of the story.

Good stuff:

- Lex killed Lionel, throwing him off the window.
- Lex is obsessed beyond control to find a secret that doesn't belong to him.
- Lionel seemed reconciled with his impending death.
- Lex & Clark lock eyes at the step of LuthorCorp where Lionel was lying dead.
- Clark is not fooled, he knows Lionel would never commit suicide.
- Gina makes the ultimate mistake and opens her cards to Lex, she knows that he killed Lionel.
- Lex allows Gina to think he cares for her loyalty.
- Little Lex fighting a losing battle.
- Lionel's message from the grave, he is a good guy.
- Lois & Jimmy still working together.
- Lex firing Chloe, there was no emotion in him, he knew what he wanted and how to get it. Intimidate Chloe and get rid of her.
- Gina's loyalty to Lex. Too bad she ain't Mercy.
- Gina sees everything and has finally the answer to all of Lex's questions...
- ... only to be killed few minutes later, IMO from Lex's henchman covering all loose ends about the murder of his father.
- Lex & Clark confrontation in his study.
- Clark uses his powers and saves Lois & Jimmy.
- Little Lex is gone for ever.
- Chloe opens Clark's eyes yet again to his destiny.
- Clark finally realises that he needs to stop Lex.
- The graveyard scene, Clark defiant pays his respects to Lionel and throws some earth in his grave.

Bad stuff:

- Clark should not have been urged by Chloe to follow her when they heard Lionel died.
- Not much explaining how Lionel dedicated his life to keep Clark's secret safe. what was all the MB we saw between season 1&3?
- Jimmy is the one uncovering the truth of the photo? At which point are we to believe that this is Lois Lane, world famous hound-dog reporter?
- How did Chloe get her messages from Jimmy if she had forgotten her mobile at the Planet for Gina to see?
- Why did Clark allow himself to be caught by Lex in his office? He could have easily zapped out of there and Lex would have never found out.
- Lex has no money any more for security?
- Chloe opens Clark's eyes yet again to his destiny. Did we need the Clark pity party?

I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 because of the pity party. Clark should know better by now. On the other hand, Lex killed two people in one episode!!!!

prolly, I'm just sayin, that although chloe is annoying, of all of clark's peers, she is by far, the least annoying.

Clark only has three peer regulars on the show, Chloe(meh, 60%), Lana(sucks IMO, 30%), and Lois(sucks, but not as bad as Lana, 45%)(yes, those are grades). Chloe is by far the best of those three IMO, on all levels: story, acting, and delivery. (It's a good thing that between Welling 90%(loses marks for the 'nooooooooooooooooooo' when alicia died) and Rosenbaum 95% are part of the show, as was Glover 92%)

as for the advice stuff, that should have gone to momma kent after Pa died... but Annette leaving left a big hole and really, they should have retained her for a more semi regular role. That's just an unavoidable production problem. But I agree with you on some level. However, the last couple of episodes where Chloe has been like "get your head out of your 'Bass' Clark!!!' it's been really quite refreshing, along with last nights episode.

I'm totally bummed that L is gone. He was really the character that was driving the show forward, perhaps Clark will now take an active role in the plot (has anybody noticed that for the last while, things happen, and Clark reacts. But otherwise, Clark is pretty hands off when it comes to the forward moving narrative?). Hopefully, Lex will clone Lionel.

that's pretty much my feeling, the good really outweighed the bad in this epi.

wow, I didn't think he would die so soon. We're only 5 minutes in.

Awesome. Great job, Lex.

Been waiting seven years for that moment.

Oh crap! He did it!!!!!

Please let that woman be Mercy!

EDIT: Her name is Gina. No Mercy. Damn.

I really wanted her to be Mercy. And she's going to die? Why does Lex have to kill everyone in this episode? lol

For some reason, I don't quite believe Lionel's dead....but, they did say a major character would die, so he's probably the one. =/

Lionel dead, now things should really get interesting

Lex has wanted to axe-off his father for a very long time. So in some way this has been in the works for a very long time . And I got to say Al & Miles delivered BIG TIME .

Wow, Lex literally sounds like what he is suppose to be. In fact, alot of comic book Lex Luthors is popping into my mind when he talked about seeing aliens as threats, such as Mark Waid's Superman: Birthright.

Finally, a clark/lex interaction that was great. We didn't get many of these this season. I loved how Lex pulled Jonathan into the conversation and brings up his failing heart.
