7.16 - Descent - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

Not only was that the best episode of the season, it was also one of the best of the entire series.

Amazing.

The preview's for the next couple of episodes. Or at least I think so. Lex & fortress gave me SR vibes (in a good way)

Real or not, Lex Luthor just burned and killed a kid? WOW!

And So The Good Side that once existed in Lex Luthor known as Alexander is now gone Forever .

Farewell Little Alexander you will be greatly missed .

That ending was great. The old Lex walks away from his father, Clark, and himself. That was the best ending I've ever seen on this show.

Amazing.

Yes sir. Best acting, best plot, best directing.

Simply brillant television right there.

Wow, what an ending.

Oh yeah, Jimmy's an ass. Who sends that kinda stuff via text message? :whatever:

That's exactly what I was thinking. Just send her a text saying "I got something important to show you" or something like that, then tell her when she's there! That's probably my only complaint with this ep though.

Damn, I totally missed the episode...SH**!!! Have to catch it somehow.

The preview that they showed looked amazing, however it can't be for one single episode...it must be for the remaining season.

Been a while since I saw the film, but was Lex wearing the same thing Lex did?

Superman vs Lex Luthor is official on as far as I'm conerned. Great stuff tonight.

The episode Description was pretty clear on that

THE DAY CLARK AND LEX BECAME MORTAL ENEMIES — The secret of Veritas leads Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) in a dangerous direction that will put Clark (Tom Welling) and Lex in each others’ crosshairs.

Why didn't Chloe hide the key in her bra instead of her desk?

Best episode this season so far! Probably the darkest Smallville episode in years! Great performances, very well written, stunning direction, and one of the most pivotal moments of the series!

The two minor chinks in "Descent's" armor would be the whole photograph element (way too friggin' coincidental) and the fact that it made NO sense for Clark to leave Chloe in the Isis Foundation by herself after she just got knocked out by an assailant and said assailant is still on the loose.

Awesomeness! Next week's episode sounds good!

Was there any "Kara Chronicles" footage? I don't really remember!

I saw some of the Kara clips. It actually looks a million times better than the Ollie toon.
