7.19 - Quest - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

honestly i don't mind little bit of BDA moment here and there as long as they are not very extreme where clark goes all emo (like in sleeper)

show is about clrak kent before he was superman so he is suppsed to have some faults and he needs to make some mistakes but that's the writing of the show again far away from being perfect but i have been watching show long time i stop caring

also IMO seseaon 7 has been quite good compared to other sesasons we get epsiodes liek DESCENT, gemini, Apocalypse etc and we got more superman mythology and Krypton

so i m not complainning about this season

worst season to me was Sesaon 5 no doubt we got vampire lana and many more other crap

just because I'm happy

There is a bunch of scenes in this episode where characters are like: 'Clark, ARE YOU INSANELY STUPID???' I think there are three I can think of off the top of my head in this episode, Teague, and Chloe twice I think. Infact, the whole episode pretty much revolves around Clark being a BDA, and people trying to convince him that he is being one.

That being said, this episode was brilliant. It actually confronted the BDA on an active level. And Jimmy exploring the cave wall writing is very interesting, as well as the return of the Namaan legend.

The best part for me, came upon hearing the question "How did you do that?", and the reply being: "I didn't"... awesome scene.

For some odd reason they wrote Chloe into that scene, hi, I just took the jet. It was kind of weird. But the episode itself was good.

And Picardo was very good in the role. He didn't overdo the monk stuff to badly, and as a guest star, his 'concern' for Clark was well acted. It's great to see that Smallville is taking more advantage of the talent on its local lot. Picardo on SGA, and the doctor from BSG were both in this episode, and both played the small bit parts quite well.

Next week should be great, if they don't fully crap out, and make the whole thing a cliffhanger, that delivers no action, only anticipation of action, 4 months from now

the writers make Clark seem bipolar. He's BDA one episode, Superman-like the next episode, then back to BDA. That's the problem when you have different writers each week.

well, then this week he was definately BDA, good thing, 'cause if it interchanges every episode, the finale will be a superman like episode...

maybe we're seeing the development of the two personas, Clark Kent, the BDA, and Superman, the Superman. Because honestly, it's been 7 years now, and they still haven't REALLY explored the secret identity bit. They've shown a little, but not delved into deeply. I mean if he were to become superman in the finale... it wouldn't jive very well u know?

maybe. so far it's been a repeating pattern. In Descent, Clark was Superman-like. Sleeper had Clark as a BDA. The beginning of Apocalypse had Clark as a BDA but as the episode went on, Clark changed into Superman. Now we have Clark as a BDA in Quest. I'm hoping he will be like Superman in the finale when he
battles Lex in the FOS

yeah, but will he? or will it come to a climax... and then tune in next fall?

I hope not. Because Michael won't be back in the fall. lol

*Runs away from all the Clark bashing and name calling* :cmad:

Close. VERY Close. Big Dumb ALIEN. But I never choose to use it, I just know the abbreviations.

I wonder when Kara suddenly went crazy at the end of last week's episode could Kara end up being controlled by that thing which started her wackiness ?

wait til clark is asked, 'do you want lex to control you' and he just shrugs, in like 5 minutes

did this happen already? Because so far, he's been pretty cooperative and proactive.

I like this episode. People are overhyping Clark's BDAness.

I like this episode

It is definitely one of the most interesting episodes out of the past seven years & look Chloe gets to the church just in time & Clark owes Oliver a thank you

this just proves that people will complain just about anything. I thought Clark was normal and wasn't like BDA.
