I never understand how someone can say that "Most Fans" don't like something about a show.

How would you know what most fans like or don't like. Us folks who chat on the internet is a miniscule number compared to the number of people who actually watch the show.

^^ Yeah right, most fans can't wait for more Clanadrama and plenty of triangles... :whatever:

Hopefully their wont be much/little angst when kk does return as lana in her 5 episode run.

The CW does have the whole gossip girl/90210 crowd going, so it wouldn't be out the question if the CW wanted Smallville a little bit more like those shows. But than I look at Supernatural and I think twice about that statement.

You know what, I would think if Smallville was on a channel like SciFi it would be awesome....

Dude get over it. I know I don't like the triangles either but at least I don't pull such a fit over it.

Perhaps any hint of romance on this show is dismissed as Clanadrama to you, which frankly is your loss, but you don't speak for everyone.

It's no secret that I've always been a Clana fan (watching Hulk cringe at the term. :D), but even I don't expect it to ever be the same drawn out frustrating affair that it was for so long. But I also don't think it was nearly as bad or poorly done in the more recent seasons as some people do, including a lot of Clana fans.

I look forward to Lana coming back and hopefully establishing a really solid life-long and loving relationship with Clark that moves beyond being a couple. They deserve a better resolution to their relationship, and so do the long time fans. You may call it Clanadrama (and I'm sure you will) but I see it as an integral part of the show.

Oh, and LOL if you think this show is done with triangles.

Mikelus show is targetted at mostly everyone

i think mots of fans who have been watching this show since 2001 grew up

SN is much darker and Eric Kripke won't let the CW ruined it, he does what he really thinks is best for the show. Yes, SV could do better on SciFi, USA Network, you name it, but at least S8 looks good enough despite the silly triangles. :word:

Looks like Matt answered my inquiry on Clois in this episode:

Smallville Exclusive: A Kiss Before Flying?

This season on the CW's Smallville, Clark will go to work at the "Daily Planet," where he'll bump desks with Lois Lane. The predestined set-up understandably has some fans already lobbying for a lip-lock.

Well, there's one coming.

Sources whisper to me that in this season's fifth episode, titled "Committed," Clark and Lois will be "forced" to make like lovebirds as they investigate some strange goings-on involving a crazy guy and a Moment of Truth-esque lie detector "game." It is in the course of this bit of harrowing, shoe-leather reporting that the "Daily" duo find themselves engaged in a smooch.

How real is their clinch? You'll have to wait and see and fiercely debate decide for yourselves. After all, let's not forget that these two have macked on each other before — namely, once when Lo mistook CK for the Green Arrow, and again when she was under the influence of that drugged lipstick.

But perhaps the third time is the charm?

Oh, and the "flying" reference in my headline? That simply sounded good. There's no word yet on when the longstanding "No Flights" policy will be rendered obsolete by the series' new regime. — Matt Mitovich

^excellent. Can we move on now? So they lip lock, it will lead to nothing but tension. How about some plot spoilers CW?

Id rather TPTB spoil little stuff like this than actually plot lines. I mean they usually do talk, a lot, just would be nice if we are surprised once in a while...

its early in the season, prime time for filler and stories that won't be very important. it shouldn't be difficult to give some stuff that isn't ship related

this episode has shipwar written all over it

expect clois vs chlarkers vs chimmy when this episode airs:)

overall episode seems like fun episode with nice nod to Lois and clark show and Superman 2

and it will be nice to see clark in relax mood in this episode aftre depressive, emo in season 7(specailly in sleeper)

:whatever: It does, doesn't it? I hate it.. They should stop pandering to Clois and Chlark at the same time, I'm tired of the shipper wars from it, and I really do NOT want to see any kind of bones thrown to Clark and both cousins, they're family, so its actually pretty squicky, though you wouldn't think Chlo-Lo was family anymore after these past few seasons of barely interacting lol. And I'm tired of seeing Chlark and Chimmy wars, because Clark and Jimmy are supposed to become friends and all anyone says about those two is that one is not good enough for Chloe, or that Chloe should leave Jimmy for Clark (because you know, its all about Chloe).. I don't want to see Clark pining after Jimmy Olsen's gal lol.

^^^ it is ship fans who make big deal out the whole thing

we all know clark will end up with lois by end of series but we have these consiparcy theories how clark loves chloe and both will end up together

They're misinformed to start with, that's why their opinions are ignorant, Smallville is mainly about how Clark Kent/Kal-El becomes Superman, the mythology of Superman, love triangles are just a CW marketing tool for a very specific demo. If people like a show about a comic book character, is their responsability to know the basics, this would eliminate a lot of the nonsense going on some forums. Ignorance is not good for the mind.

Heaven forbid anyone be "ingorant" about a fictional character who flies around in tights . . . .

maybe Clark will get "twitterpated" from the kiss with Lois and fly?

/hates self for knowing what "twitterpated" means
/watches too many childrens movies nowadays

haha....you should never be ashamed at watching Loony Toons, kids nowadays don't appreciate what good animation is, since all they have is the horrible wannabe anime junk that is forced down their throats.

I hate modern cartoons.:csad:

how can you hate Spongebob?

His voice grates on my nerves like nails on a chalkboard. :csad:

Not all modern cartoons are bad, but most of them bug me. Nothing when compared to classic Loony Toons.

"What's Opera Doc" beats out anything ever concieved by Sponge Bob...sorry. ;)

Yep, despite Clark preferring Lana over her... oh, and it seems they love pinning after someone for years. :o
Anyway, TPTB like to play with shippers to keep them watching, nothing new.

I don't think so. Not that he won't get "twitterpated" whatever t.f. that means. :p, but I think/hope his flying will be either a spontaneous thing he just *does* in the act of saving someone, or something that he masters all by himself by determined practicing. I think they'll go for the dramatic factor of the former though, which I'd prefer seeing.

The kiss with Lois was pretty predictable. Didn't he have the same kind of "pretend we're a couple" kiss with Chloe in the early seasons? I can't remember the episode, but it's the one where she had him against the files.

The key difference this time, of course, will be in his response to the kiss from Lois - and vice-versa.

Do I dare mention how into the old Teddy Ruxpin cartoon I was? ;)

Please, y'all don't honestly think Clark will end up with Lana or Chloe, do you?

As for the episode, more Lois means awesome.
