Seriously anyone who actually thinks Creed was snubbed is just plain stupid. The film is well done, but it's as cookie-cutter as they come. You really think the Academy were gonna nominate a cookie-cutter genre piece? You really think the Academy was going to nominate a 28 year old director? Really? Really?! The only person who got any weight to his role in that film got nominated. The rest of the film is just a really well made genre film. That's never going to win any major awards, nor should it. The fact that so many people see Creed as a "great" film shows just how bad taste is right now. People are so desperate for something other than superheroes that a well made, generic boxing film becomes Raging Bull in their eyes.
