Why should that be? Just because it's Marvel or a comic book property?

And if it had been released last year and was now awards season this year, would it have been considered since there are so few options?

Hollywood loves shows about Hollywood. And Mandalorian enters best series for the globes means anything can happen.

It's the Marvel bias plus by this time next year most of the people from the foreign press will forget about it. The Mandalorian being in there is an anomaly and it's probably Disney's only push to get into the awards race other than animation and sfx.

If Mando can get noms, there is no reason WandaVision can't.

Mandalorian is on another level though.

Personally I thought Oldman was good in Mank but I didn’t “feel” it from his performance as much as I did in Darkest Hour (and I know some people think he was overrated in DH, so maybe I have unpopular opinions, idk)

Lovecraft Country, sure, but I can see why Insecure wouldn't get an acting nod. Insecure's a great show, sure, but for my money, I think its strength comes in its writing. Conversely, I think Euphoria has very good acting and can see why that'd get a nod. Less so for the quality of its writing.

Issa Rae and Yvonne Orji totally deserve something in the acting department. Their comedic timing, the one-liners, both of them can more than hold their own. Even when they get dramatic, that scene at the block party when Issa and Molly got into it was really well done.

They really do. I'd give Issa an Emmy for that entire fantasy sequence where she confronts the girls from the wine/painting class alone.
